Description

Rei's life has continually been on autopilot, each moment seemingly pre-decided as she goes from day to day in her village. As the years have passed, she slowly begins to question her position in her village. Eventually, she befriend a man from the village named Shugo, who has great knowledge of the Deep--a powerful energy source that binds reality together. The two become friends, with Shugo beginning to teach Rei poetry.However, as they start to build their relationship, the village has come under assault by a group of bandits. Soon, Rei will learn that there is a grand world outside of the village along with many secrets the elders have hidden from her.

Starts off pretty good but falls to nonsense by chapter 14. Characters don’t make sense and do things and stuff just to reach a climax the author wanted to have happen. Logic be damned. Then we get a whole new set of characters and the MC is just gone for a whole book and the new characters are less interesting. I see she returns in Book 3, but I don’t know if I’m going to finish this. It could be a good story if it’s cleaned up and revised.
