Description

A young human wakes in a subterranean city with no memory of how he got there or of the world around him.

When he does dream he sometimes recalls things about his past, but they don't always make sense to him or anyone he talks to about them.

But everything goes well for him until at the hand of betrayal he dies and wakes up in the same subterranean city on the same day he did the first time.

Disclaimer - This is my first time I have made any serious progress on a novel so it is a work in progress and it will end better than it began

I will also be going back and rewriting some of the earlier chapters if I feel they are not up to standard as the rest are

    I recommend this story.
The protagonist (Arthur) is overpowered but it doesn't play out like a young adult power fantasy. He has mature conversations with people. No pre-teen angst or brooding. No romance to speak of yet.
The antagonist is introduced early which helps build tension and suspense. Not much to write about here yet.
The rest of the cast is fairly small. Some of them are rounded out with motivations or internal conflict. I expect them to become more rounded and dynamic with this second arc.
The world building is in-depth. Lots of lore updates to flesh out the world without having to contrive a conversation about it. The conversations that do expound on it feel like they come up naturally.
There's a System but it doesn't get brought up too often; No big blue boxes. Easy on the eyes.
Grammar and spelling are fine. If there were issues I didn't notice or don't remember them at the time of writing this. I've also read enough translated novels that I've learned to ignore it and power through.
