A LitRPG Apocalypse from the perspective of a Dark Elf

The elves took everything. Following a bloodied slaughter of her whole race, and struggling to stay alive, she had no choice but to survive on her own. That was until the world changed. Her entire planet; a whole cluster was introduced to the vast universe by The System, or perhaps God. A universe filled with endless beings and civilizations that fought for power and dominance.

After the integration, Blair finds herself in a forest surrounded by unknown beasts, peril lurking, alone. Alone and with nothing but the mentality to survive, she will have to get stronger in this new unforgiving world of numbers and power.

With nothing but the capability to get stronger, her distant dreams of revenge might just become a reality.

Blair is a very interesting story revolving around the unusual circumstances of the last of the Dark Elf race who gets pulled into a life and death struggle to survive in a new world.  I gave 4.5 stars for style, as Azrie occasionally fails to explain the mechanics of skills or feats leaving the reader trying desperately to figure out just what is happening.  Fortunately the author will often backtrack and explain things in better detail in the authors notes in subsequent chapters, however I found it a bit distracting at times.  The story gets a full five stars, the world is very rich and varied, giving a sense of anticipation and honestly wonder at what Blair will discover next and what strange skills her encounters will manifest.  There are frequent mentions of events outside of the 'skirmish' Blair mostly inhabits giving a sense of much deeper storylines that are ongoing.  Overall a very engaging and enjoyable read.  The character also gets 5 stars.  Each character has their own motivations and behaviors that influence their interactions with the MC, even the creatures she encounters.  Grammar also obtained a full 5 stars.  I have found more grammatical errors in published works from large publishers than in this story.
In summary, Blair is a delightful read, with a compelling story and a memorable protagonist that really draws the reader into her struggle in a strange new world.  I highly recommend this story to others interested in both fantasy and light sci-fi.  This is one of the literary gems that keeps drawing me back to Royal Road.

Before I preface this review, I'd like to state that this story is something that I'd give a "chef kiss," but if you're not a fan of action, it probably won't be for you. The story and characters are excellent, though the action makes it top tier — one of the focal reasons to read. However, I'll get into the other aspects as I review them.
Okay, the style, as mentioned in the title, it's first person (Mostly MC but also SC). Well, if you're wondering about the more intricate aspects, such as sentence length and pacing, this has to be Azrie's best story regarding style since the readability is pretty immersing. Being able to zone out and immerse yourself into the story is an important aspect of enjoyment. At least for me. Azrie's sentence style allows that, so good stuff in that regard.
The story is about a litRPG apocalypse. This is where I'm a little iffy because too much murder for no reason is nonsensical to me. But the author makes a great effort to flesh out the story by introducing pivotal points, be it through side characters or even the world that the story takes place. Right now, the MC is more worried about surviving the area they were placed in, and that's totally fine. Mainly because side character and main character progression are taking place, so the story will become deeper as it progresses. (Duh)
The Character is very reasonably made for the world that she's in. The reason the MC knows how to survive isn't out of sheer luck, but rather they were born for such a task in their previous life. It's reassuring to know the author cares about realism to a degree.
As for the grammar, it's very readable. Not much else to say in that regard.
So? Read it. You'll enjoy it if you're a LitRPG Apocalypse fanatic. 5/5

The story moves in a fluid and consistent manner. It has mild twists and steady development.
It includes a different take on dark elves, threads some tropes without being derivative and is nicely executed making it an enjoyable and steady read.
The consistency and steady pace of updates makes the story stand out from others that just don't have enough content.
I'm enjoying this more than a number of others and hope it continues.
The story has done well on Top Web Fiction past its initial entry and deserves its ranking.
Very readable with clear prose that is not overworked or purple but is direct and clear.
The story takes the sole survivor of a genocidal crusade and tosses them into the mix of a system integration and colliding worlds. Unlike other stories, they do not dominate a faction or lead armies but instead thread their own way with occasional temporary companions.
That makes it stand out from hosts of other stories where the protagonist ends up with arnies and fully stocked castles and towns and bases as the head or major member of a world faction.
Instead, Blair is alone, even when she has temporary allies or companionship.
Early elements are brought back in rather than forgotten and the sun-threads are handled with a light touch and nice plotting
I am looking forward to see how it develops and the author's continued work and writing.

LitRPG is my favorite genre.  This story has all of the greatest aspects of leveling, dungeon diving, and does eventually get into city building.  The new twist on the genre is that Blaire's world was not system-ized by itself, but with three other worlds in a Darwinian contest of only the strongest will survive and rule all four worlds, where classes are in limited supply, class types range from weak powers with slavery contracts to top-teir potential, are linked to sponsors who create them, and can evolve.  Also, I like how feat options unlock through actions you take.
The races are elves (dark, forest, etc), humans, beastkin (there is a fox person mentioned, but not much is spoken about this world's races yet), and devilkin/demonkin.  The breakdown of power is devilkin/demonkin (they had advanced warning about the possibility of their world being system-ized), humans (due to numerical advantage? humans seems to be a quantity over quality race, by and large), beastkin (just a guess), and lastly elves (they have loooooooow birthrates, so I expect them to become an endangered race soon, if they didn't start off as an endangered race).

This story has everything I want form a LitRPG. It has plot that is developing for the long run, a battle maniac MC that does her own thing, and super awesome powers that seem generic but have the author's unique twist. The characters so far are believeable and also fun to read about, even the "bad guys." Overall, a really good story that I am enjoying.

This is a really entertaining story, it's packed with action and the writting never gets messy in the fights makes it really dynamic andpicturable.
The story is set in a universe where humans are just a speck of the intelligent beings existing wich is really refreshing, even more so than some of the other civilizations are lored \(^^) /
We follow a dark elf girl awakening to a battle crazy behavior and her little guide in that new world an classic but still nice little guy.
Well all that being said thanks for the work boss !

    A new favorite
Okay let's start off by saying it was a great start to the story, the character seems determined and with a tough and clear goal, and has opportunities ahead. I can say that I'm looking forward to the future of this story, because I think it might be one of my favorites, and many others.

A LitRPG from a different perspective than what I'm used to reading. Blair is a very compelling character, kinda nuts but in a good way. And Glim, well, has been an amazing sidekick, the annoying but unintentionally hilarious fairy is always a hit to me. The other side characters (humans, demons, guardians and even the woodland elves) are also well written and interesting.
The System itself is interesting, with just the right mix of interesting powers and "numbers go up" so far. I'm interesting in learning more about it origins and capabilities in the future.
This fiction has instantly rocketed up my favorites list, and I can't wait to read more.

    This is an interesting story.
sidestories / interludes are used well for giving some extra context
some difficult questions are asked but so far no easy answers are given (this is a good thing it helps people think with their own brain)
the mc plot armor is at a believeable level and no absurdly easy fortunate encounters have occered

The story is well written overall, but suffers a bit from pacing issues. There is a lot to like about it, but I'm just going to focus on the negatives for a moment.
Really my biggest gripe with the story is in the grammer. It is well above average for Royal Road, but somehow that just makes the places where it is off that much more jarring. It reads smoothly and then suddenly it starts being phrased in an extremely odd way, or sometimes it has a flat out incorrect usage of a word, and more rarely repeated phrases from one sentence or paragraph to the next. If you stop and think about it, it doesn't take much to mentally correct it, but as I said, it interupts the flow of an otherwise well written and engaging story.
Also, she snorts constantly. I almost have to wonder if 'she snorted' isn't the author's favorite phrase or something because it seems to be included in almost any interaction Blair has with anyone, or even while just thinking to herself. If there is a plot reason for her to snort so much, please let us know.
Otherwise, Blair has taken it's place as one of my favorite Royal Road novels. I would reccommend it to anyone with an interest in the genre.
