I find myself re-reading the story just to experience it again. I have found myself throughly enjoying this and hope the story goes on for as long as the author wishes to bring it.
- Continuity ManRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is well written, there are a plethora of side characters and the author takes time to flesh the all out and frequently revisits them and their growth as they become part of the MC's extended network.
I marvel abit at how fast the first 1000 chapters went, I was barely aware BAM 4 digits chapter title. The evolution from an apocalypse story to kingdom building in a frontier was subtle. All the natives were just too comfortable being survivors at that point.
I recommend you give it a try it is a good ride. If I was to say something critical about it it would be the MCs growth is too repetitive but it wasn't a deal breaker. I like a good grind.
Al = Best Girl - ShadoCat2Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0There is crafting and (guild) building that I enjoy in measured doses but the characters and their interaction is what makes this really fun to read.
The growth is a bit fast. Quite frankly, I would have been OK if the MC spent 3-4 times as long in the original destroyed city finding and working with the metal he could extract. Would I be reading this if he was still there at this point? Maybe but I can see that the author would have run out of things to write (and the author would have lost most of their readers). At this point, the growth is just background. I like the characters so much that I look forward to the MC getting back to them.
I rate a story by how much fun I have reading it. So, YMMV. - fubleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far (Ch 48) I really recomend this story.I like crafting stories and so far there is enough crafting to live up to the title having blacksmith. This is also a system story where the world is taken into a system. The way it is done I like more than some other stories and it doesn't feel as bogged down as others aswel. So far the crafting is also well blended with combat so that the MC has a reason to fight and craft and why his class pushes him to be good at both.
- OmelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story checks off a lot of standard RR works that I feel a good chunk of people here enjoy.
*Litrpg system comes to earth
*OP mc with non standard skills and half a brain
*Quick Pacing / Action packed
*Non harem and so far no romance
By all metrics the reviews should more positve. Personally I found the story enjoyable. Its not the best here, but its also not the worst and not deserving such harsh criticism. That the second highest review is 1.5 stars seems incredibly misleading.
I suggest anyone who finds those points interesting to ignore this peculiar hate and give this a read. - LeilaCarinaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is a really good book. I could barely put it down and downloaded the app to make sure that I could read it wherever I was. I keep wanting more and wanting to know how it continues. It is well build and thought out. Sometimes you wonder why something happens and then later it ties back to it again. And it is just adorable how someone who only wants to get his hands on the best materials and being able to craft the best stuff, is the fore runner of everything
- Jamey1977Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I started this series because it had a nice back log of chapters . That may not have been a good idea because I ended up binge reading this series. I loved how it progressed and how you had to laugh out loud a few times I did 1200+ chapters with out taking a break. That alone says it worth checking out . Looking forward to more
- MorrowjustinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have now read up to the last published chapter 77. I have found that sometimes reading the reviews prior to picking a story is not beneficial as the reviewers are grammar Nazis or have some silly notion of what they expect in a story. And this story seems to have a lot of haters and nay sayers. Even the good reviews are getting slammed with down votes.wtfo?
I read all the prior reviews and have some complaints with other reviewers being overly critical. The MC is not over powered. He is a rational person that is acting in a manner that is logical. In his first two biomes, he uses the tools at his disposal to maximize his chances for survival. Even his habit on not immediately putting skill and stat points is explained and reasonable.
Overal all score is due to everything coming together as a story to be a great one. Grammar will always be an issue.
Style score is due to authors ability to make the characters do rational and logical things vice other stories on this site where the Mc is a retard or a genius.
Story score is due to the story being paced well and it does not drag on with no progress. Every chapter has progression and is not filler.
I do agree with other reviewers. The is a rampant use of exclamation points and there are some grammar issues. A proof reader would easily fix these. In fact, instead of complaining , may be the people that read this can put a message in the chapters where there are issues.
Character score is due to the character being the Mc being smart about things and not a moron. Nor is he some world class genius. An average guy doing what he needs to thrive and using the skills he has to his advantage. - Ape KingRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The main idea of the story is a creative take on the isekai apocolipse genre. it allows for an exploration of the readers imagenation. with the main plot piont of the story being din to read with a good sup structure on classes and the things involved. and the personality of the protagianist is a somewhat relatible figgure allowing for readers to experence a form of empathy.
- JAM_91Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I like this story, it focuses on the crafting and adds a little bit of that LitRPG fighting we all know and love into the mix. The pace and update quality are also -retry good from what I've seen. The grammar is towards the higher end with no outstanding errors that make reading it impossible. Overall, a pretty damn good system apocalypse and a worthy read, so give it a try.
