This, is where the legend of dragons and their riders is reborn…

There was a time in the long forgotten past when dragons ruled the skies, and it brought the world to the brink of destruction. Gods, men, and creatures of all kinds contested bitterly for dominion over a world created for them all, each jealously believing themselves superior to all others. This was caused by one god's envious pursuit of a goddess whose love belonged to the greatest of dragons.

Green jealousy battled red rage as the god of Darkness sought to destroy the god of dragons for the affections of the goddess of love. Men, beasts, and gods involved themselves until not a life was without stake in the war. Entire kingdoms were razed to the ground, famine ran as freely as the blood, and entire races were driven to extinction.

Recognizing the destruction and futility of the war, the god of dragons, along with his rider, the goddess of love, sacrificed themselves and their entire race of dragons and riders to separate the world into the magical and the talentless, locking away the dark god in the boundary separating the warring factions in the hopes of allowing the world to be reborn again, innocent and free of the burdens of their grudge.

Yet the Great Pair were not foolish, and knew that once Darkness was born, it would exist in each man, beast, and god until the world was unmade; and so they left their only son behind to find a way to return dragons and riders to the world, so they may once again protect the world from Darkness.
