Description

Frederick, 22, is transmigrated to another world alongside other earthlings to help a new god get his first religions on the ground. They are given a few points each to choose their skills and race, however, something they cannot choose is their magic attribute. Unfortunately for Frederick, one of his magical attributes is black magic which is scorned by the people of the continent.

Through necessity he is driven into the world of cults and sects. Can Frederick survive in this world of demons, angels, and legendary creatures? Well, yes, or else this would end rather quickly. But will he thrive and accept the role his magic in this unforgiving and carefully balanced world where his only advantage is his potential?

This is a promising new isekai story that stands out from others thanks to its excellent humour. It starts off strong, hits a little lull while the world is built, but then comes back strong with drama and tension.
Style - the author's style is the biggest stand out in this story, establishing the irreverent tone and humour right out of the gates. From the charismatic if seedy friend to the God who sounds like he needs time off work, it had me laughing constantly.
Story - the story is still building at this stage, but the stakes have been established and then raised quickly through the events in chapter 4. I'd like a little more hints at the big picture, but I'm engaged in the two protagonists growing struggle in this unfamiliar world, particularly one who has already managed to get himself in quite a bit of a vulnerable position.
Grammar - the prose could use a bit of tightening, but on the whole the quality is quite good. It's an easy, enjoyable read while still building a unique tone and vibrant world.
Character is the other area of this author's writing that stands out, alongside his style. Both the protagonists personalities are fleshed out and engaging, and critically they have excellent chemistry together. I'm looking forwards to seeing where this goes!

Simplicity is the best form of sophistication is what describes this tale. There is never too much going on at once. The author doesn't overload you with information. You don't have to remember every tiny detail not because none of it matters but because if it's important it will naturally find its way back into the story. Now just because I said its simple doesn't mean it isn't interesting. The author's writing draws you in. You find yourself seeing the MC as what he truly is. A regular guy doing the best he can with what he has at hid disposal. You grow with him. Do yourself a favour and at least try this out. It starts off slow but once the story gets going it moves at a realistic and enjoyable pace.

Black Prince: Cruel Magic is a no holds barred romp. The premise is a classic Isekai, the two protagonists get thrown into a new world with magic and elves and all that you would expect to go alongside that.
But, the writer has decided that they are just going to jump in feet first and just have fun. Many of the tropes that you would expect from the genre are ignored or subverted. What do I mean by that? Well, let me just pull some examples from the first chapter.
Existential angst at being in a new world? Nope
Jumping straight in (in chapter 1) to a detailed discussion on how to optimise a build? Yup
Literal gods intervening in random people’s lives?  Heck yes.
There are a number of things like that but I won’t go any further to avoid spoilers. But in summary random stuff happens, mostly because it can.
Now you may think that that’s a criticism, but it’s not. The thing is, those things entirely fit with the style of the story so they are not jarring in any way.
Overall, this is a good fun story and I look forward to reading more.
    Detailed scores
Style: This is the biggest strength of this story.  It has a consistent style, once you get what the author is doing you can just relax and enjoy the ride. This story embodies the ‘Rule of Cool’ Great work.
Story: While the story starts off strong it drifts a little into exposition at a few points. Not sure that a lot of is needed just yet. Having said that, you want to see what happens next.
Grammar: Not a lot that jumps out. A few slightly odd sentences, which is why I took a bit off, but nothing that takes you out of the story.  Good job
Character: The two MCs are really fun and relatable. I find it quite easy to confuse them with each other though which is why I marked it down a notch. You really want to know that they do next though. Nice job

The premise for this story is a bit more interesting than the usual 'reincarnated into a different world' as there is an actual goal given by 'God' for the characters to achieve. The skill/stats system is well thought out, and the author has clearly put plenty of thought into his world-building, it seems consistent and sufficiently attractive to draw interest.
The only issue is the Main Character, as at the moment it is pretty hard to get a real feel for him and his motivations. His personalality is a bit... well, uninspired so far. Still, the story has only just moved out of the introductory arc, so there's hope that he might become a bit more interesting in due course *smile*
Side characters are generally fine, though most of them don't stick around too long.
    Grammar/etc. no real problems here.
Overall, it's decent for early doors, so we'll see how it develops.

Black Prince: Cruel Magic is an interesting story. The best way for me to describe it would be as what you'd expect when you think of a light-hearted, fun-loving isekai romp. I had a decent amount of fun reading through the several chapters, but I came to realize that it wasn't really my kind of story. Despite this, it still boasted many merits that might very well make it your kind of story. I'll be judging it based on how well it achieves those merits, so you can decide for yourself.
Style: This is where the strange pacing I was talking about comes into play. Most of the focus is put onto characters and character interactions, stat screens, and major plot points. World building is minimal and is mostly zoomed through, but there's enough to assume it operates as a generic medieval fantasy world with magic. Small towns, magic, blacksmiths, priests, etc. Some might appreciate it getting to the meat of what many people want, but it's not quite my thing.
Grammar: No grammatical mistakes I could find, so I gave this a perfect score!
Story: This also loses half a point because the strange pacing. The story is clean and the end-goal has already been set up, but it feels like the characters are pushed along it for the sake of the plot. As if they exist solely to go from point A to B, with the interesting part being how they choose to go about it. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with that if that's the kind of story you want, so if it is, you'll enjoy this.
Character Score: The characters are comedic when talking to each other and serious when the situation calls for it. The level of comedy was in the satirical range early on, which hits you hard when you get to more serious parts. I think this could've used a bit of tweaking, but if you know what you're in for with this story, it shouldn't bother you much.
Overall: A lighthearted and interesting story! Don't think too much about it and you'll have a great time. That's not something that goes against the story, there's plen
