Black Organs of Sunlight

The organs of the world have grown fat on sunlight and the sun has become exhausted. It steps out of the sky with thirteen hands and pulls itself into the world. Color inverts and the black sky becomes white. Color inverts and the bright sun turns black.

Anya and her fourteen comrades are trapped in a seemingly-infinite military base with no other occupants. Hunted by smiling skinless abominations and severed hands pregnant with organs, they search for a way out. The sky darkens and their organs shiver. White new flesh forms on the bodies of those with a connection to archontic power, immune to bullets. They shoot and shoot at the hordes of necrites, but what good are guns against infinity?

The sky darkens and the organs shiver. Time crawls forward in fits and starts. They do not know what it must take to emerge from this coming Fourth Tribulation.
