Community Rating
Description
The Bandit King DeMorte was a special existence who fought and defeated nearly everyone who stood against him, only to eventually die at the hands of his own son. Even after a life of blood and living with his curse, the Guilt, though it is up for debate if he was really ready for the Ovals of Judgment. The Nalks, self-styled gods, did not care, he interfered with their 'Game' and they wanted a redo. Now reborn in the body of a little girl named Bella he need to find his place in a new world. The problem is that he is quite set in his ways and one might wonder if his memories are more a handicap than an advantage. In a world where anyone could be an enemy, even Bella herself, what will the former Bandit King become in his new life?
How will the rest of his new world deal with the Bandit King Reborn? This fiction is my first draft and will be rewritten in the future.

- brian007Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good Job, Keep it Up !!
- bobbybirdbobRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story starts off slow, but I'm telling you to hold on. The other reviews pretty much have it spot on. Just keep in mind the writer isn't a pro but this stuff is better than mostof even the good works on rrl. Does this make it great? For now, I'll say not yet. It's refreshing and the pacing after the first few chapters is good.
I'll tell you what, I'd be super bummed if the author dropped the work. Express you bummness too to support the writer.
Have fun, Beans. - cypher76Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was just perusing around when i managed to find Bandit King Reborn. The story and characters contributed to my binging up to the most recent released chapter within two days however no new chapters have been released in 15 months. I knew what i signed up for when i began reading bandit king reborn but here's hoping Mrbobsagit will eventually continue the story.
- saganatsuRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5biggest notable weakness is in scene transitions and time-skips: sometimes it hard to figure out who’s perspective it is (for non-bella characters)/ how much time has gone by. This hits hardest between chapter 6 and 7, where I got lost for a bit.

I must start off saying that for a younger amatuer writer, this is an exceptional novel. The amount of worldbuilding, depth and content in each chapter has completely overshadowed my occasional mental complaint about small grammar mistakes, style of the writing, or minor technical inconsistencies. (Puberty age, DeMorte's knowledge, and MC's height comes to mind.) As far as RR standards go, I should honestly give the grammar a 5. This story will benefit tremendously with the the final polish of an editor/revisions, as all my complaints would likely go out the window and the story could be told in a more concise and lush manner. I can clearly tell the author put a lot of thought and planning into every (massive) chapter and is always improving their craft. Don't let that low chapter count deceive you, as the average one is in the 8-10k word ballpark. This story is probably one of the more original reincarnation tales I've read, and the 'genderswap' was written with a fair amount of tactful humor. I'm pleasantly surprised.
As far as the plot goes, I found myself unable to stop reading--eagerly looking forward to what would happen each chapter, especially between Bella and DeMorte. Having just finished the first volume, (40 chapters) to avoid spoilers I will simply say that I am greatly satisfied with the conflict resolution in the first arc, and look forward to how the author continues to develop our two protagonists.
One thing that I would suggest in the future is to include more banter between Bella and DeMorte. There were many points I found myself hoping the two would interact more on-screen. I feel I may have an inkling where our 'hero' and heroine will end up by story's end, and as such I believe the author will/should expand her character more as time goes on. Some more first person perspective into her thoughts, and just generally adding more vocalization beyond 'Oh look a cute bunny', 'I'm scared', or 'DeMo - CestarianRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I made it through like 12 chapters.
At chapter 12 they started having arguments about sexuality (which was never in doubt until now) and it seems like this guy's ultimate goal is to change his (her) gender back to male. I don't know whether that'll succeed or not, but by this point I'm under the impression that this entire story is about the sexual confusions of the author or some crap like that. If I wanted to read about a sexual confusions, I would not have picked up a story about a bandit king, no matter how genderbent.
In other words, the premise of the story was good. The writing (besides the overuse of infodumps) was even so good it was impressive. The characters seem to have a bit more thought put into them than is usual as well. But the story itself? after a promising (if excruciatingly drawn out) start, it almost immediately degrades into bullshit like I described above.
With the writing talent of the author, and a good premise, the story could have been amazing, but it seems that it will not be. A story that could have been about politics and warfare, became a story about puberty... - baalthegreatRoyal Road★★★ 2.5in chapter 5 you said 5 thing that you will not write in your novel but for you to know exchange rate only exist after banking system of late 19 century exist if im not wrong sorry if i wrong
because not all kingdom or independet duchy in europe medieval time can create their own money and limited amount of resource to forge coin its not money thats change its the price of the item that is change while the money value remain the same
please dont take coin and papper money as the same they are diffrent
while race is artificial contruct is not something that can be accepted if you said it in fantasy novel since you dont normaly have consciousness in your soul form its privilage of gods
ubber mc? he has ability to manipulate mana and stay conscious in his soul form is total uber OP since he basically a GOD. As normal theory of magic is that magic is controled by soul and thats mean you can create your own body you will never die and you can bassically CREATE anything
using magic was like using fat and callories? hello? how can a thin brittle child hold huge amount of mana?
really?
i really like your story how you pack it but when a fantasy trying to match quantum physics theory and the author forgot what he reads it just sucks
for your info if you try to make magic into the same as raw energy dont forget that e=mc²
that means for equal magic ther must be an equal amount of mass and gravity that caused by a mass
so mana = energy? that means if you want to create a fire ball you need an energy equal to create one and a MASS where that energy is stored in body? i cant even immagine how fuckin big your MC will become
now do you understand why nearly all MC become ubber OP?
since in theory mana is an equalivent but not the same energy that can be used to REWIRTE reallity and make it happen and it was storred in the SOUL
and using the knowledge of modern science its immposible to not become ubber OP - AralunaiRoyal Road★★ 2.0I am not a fan mainly because of the multiple personality thing but I like that she's a genius
