“I suppose I’ve died then?”
Adam had been a fairly average British guy who had lived a fairly average British life. Now he is dead and speaking to a god.
Join Adam as he navigates a new world with his powers, a world filled with magic, beasts, intrigue, adventure and so much more in this brand new and totally never seen before LitRPG.
(TW: There will be quite a bit of British slang, so if you don't recognise a word that's probably why, like nibbitybit.)

- YuriakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What an amazing story. The author stays true to the dice and allows for the characters to truly live like players in a DnD game which I feel has a lot of beauty to it. The story flows so much more naturally and allows for the author to bring the reader into the eyes of Adam.
Advanced Review:
Style: The style of the story is complex. We get to see the world as a story from the eyes of oursleves the reader but also as Adam, may he RIP. The dialouge feels real. Like the author went out to his mates from campaigns and asked them to respond. They speak like a real human being and not some 2.5D character.
Grammar: Nothing much to complain about, I haven't noticed many mistakes and the author is quick to fix those that are found.
Story: The plot takes some dark turns as we move into the story and see Adam both suceed and fail. He loses friends and gains new ones. Bonds are torn and reforged stronger and stronger. Adam is able to shape the world in his own British way. The DnD here allows for the world to really become lifelike with the building of a campaign around a world.
Character: Adam is an awesome person who does awesome things. While sometimes he is very polite I'll chalk that up to the author's free interpretation of his life story and how he was raised. While there is a minimal amount of information on his past and personality, he can still shine with his deep emotions that allow us to really feel the beauty in the story.
TLDR: A great story that brings into focus the simplicty of characters, the flow of the dice, and sometimes the RIPing of Adam. These elements can make a great story into an even better one. - sabazurcRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Nice action, fantasy, advanture. I think DnD lovers will like this. What's one of the good qualities of this story is that character depth and interactions are above the level we usually get in stories of this genre. Author even takes time to show of culture of a people. For now there are only 55 chapters but I hope author will show more of the worldbuilding the story more in depth and complex. In conclusion, imho this one of the Royalroad stories that deserve more recongnition.
- eshfreebiesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great read, I always like stories focusing on a single main character who is a memeber of a party and this one delivers wonderfully.
- Numbers go up frequently and MC is suppossedly OP but gets his ass handed to him often enough that it still is very engaging.
- I also like that the author makes numbers go up from character growth and not entirely the other way around.
- MC is very human and less like a robot that gets tweaked from the system.
Overall, engaging read and I love the fact that I can somewhat relate to how the dice system works being familiar with DnD and Pathfinder.. - baelrathRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0MC isekai's into DnD world. Author roles actual dice and follows the consquences of those dice. MC enjoys a power boost but the dice still take their due.
MC is a decent sort, no "questionable" tastes or tropes have yet to show up.
Story writing is great, characters engaging.
MC has british / hobbit sensibilities :) - Seeking StoriesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is the type of story I’ve been looking for. A story to sink my teeth into. I love the fact that the author rolls for the combat and writes with those rolls. Chance plays into the fights and skill checks and I love it. I love the slice of life and the characters it feels like a warm adventure story.
- Shadow PrismRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I been binge reading this. Only found it recently and at this time there is 100 chapters, though I am only to chp 26. I am really enjoying this story.
Do wonder if you have some actual RPG type game for the background of this story. I am an old time gamer (AD&D, 1st and 2cd ed, for example) and I wonder about such things in these kinds of stories. - ConteurRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The writing so far reminds me of the late Douglas Adams: Something of a biscuit packaged in crinkly foil which promises a vague, but satisfying experience to the buyer. The biscuit, upon examination is rather plain; there are no grand swoops emblazoned on the surface, nor are there and colourful sprinkly bits that distract from the biscuit proper.
It is, thus far, a proper English biscuit. It is not overly sweet like one of those horrible German cordials, nor does it cling to the palate like an ill-advised snogging with a cheap Manchester tart.
In fact, the biscuit is just a bit dry. Not quite to the point of being crumbly, but definitely not so firm you would venture to dunk it in your tea like an American grockle.
This, in my opinion, is the perfect consistency of a biscuit which allows for maximum enjoyment with a proper cup of tea.
Please sir, can I have more? - Worst-answerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5this novel is about a guy who died for an accident is granted a 2 life through reincarnation, the fighting seems to be written in a novel way and regulated by a literal dice (or methaporical??) . still pretty interesting.
the lore is prob dungeon and dragon inspired, which is cool.
author seems to go for an explorer route (mc wants adventure), which is quite welcome i noticed that lately there a trend about mc turning into a lead fuck.ing figure,
the beauty of isekai should be to explore a new world, no to get settled down by becoming a f .ckifn duke, king etc...
the only thing i could complain so far, it's about mc always blushing, for bs.
i have yet to meet a dude like that in rl, but they probably exist??? no idea. - Karl NordRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Score is for first 80 chapters or so. After that I have enough quibbles that it would be lower.
Worldbuilding is surprisingly fun and built into the character’s exploration, rather than done through bad exposition. The exploration as plot works well. I dislike the “I need to get powerful” conversations because they feel like too generic an MC. To reiterate the above: MC is not interesting, but exploration of the world strings you along well. Exploration collapses though at about chapter 80 with an extended set of chapters in one place and then a deus ex machina.
Story uses of a pretty strict D and D ruleset. I was very skeptical of this at first, but it is surprisingly fun. I definitely don’t read all the dice rolls but sometimes I skim them for interesting info.
Dialogue oscillates between wooden and terse; bad and good. The main problem comes from when you would expect someone to be kind of silly or overly expressive but instead they are emotionally flat. (E.x., The very first conversation with the innkeeper suffers from this.) The mountain men and giants lean into the flatness as a racial trait, but it ends up sounding like a bad impression of Native Americans. The writer is bordering on good laconic dialogue but it’s just not there—and needs more room to breathe a bit of silliness into it. MC’s occasional outbursts of unreasonable anger adds some nice interest to his character; unfortunately, this is a thing with side characters as well so it ends up feeling like we are going from “wooden/laconic” to “angry” as our only two settings. It ends up creating morally unambiguous situations.
It is often unclear if the good Dragon is in humanoid or bestial form. Her smile was gross (to me), and in a way that made me want to put the book down. Related to this is the awkward sexuality of the MC: him “lacking drive” is just glossed over. Lots of people with a sense of adventure are rakes. I think if the levity (jokes and/or sexual scenes) landed better the woodenness would - librarysmilesRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The best part about this fantasy story is the author's dice rolls. I love that the story has already not followed the author's original plan.
I had a very low expectation for this story because of the description and title, but my favorite type of slice-of-life action story was hidden within.
This story so far could easily be told without Isekai elements because of the background story for Adam, the protagonist.
First of all, Adam has a connection in this new magical world with the god of chaos, Belle (who might also be Belle, the god of order). All Adam needs to do is tell others this fact.
Also, Adam's dead parents on this new world have quite the story: his mother was an elf and his father was a human who smithed with dwarves.
Therefore, all the main character's bonus points can easily be explained to others because of Adam's connections.
Adam has joined the adventure guild and uses both sword and magic to fight monsters that are un-Bear-able to others.
In conclusion, I am happily surprised with this story.
