- ShlinkGodRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is pretty interesting soo far. I just read the most recent chapter and I can confidently say that I enjoy the combat and the different sub-plots that are going on with all the characters at the moment.
The grammar in the first few chapters is generally good, with the odd spelling error every know and then, however the author said that once the first volume is finished they would clean up the chapters near the beginning. There weren't that many times when the writing felt sluggish, however, I do feel that sometimes it can be a bit over descriptive. (Or maybe that's just me??)
The General Plot of the book so far seems to be heading in a revenge type of story, with the main character, Elex, getting revenge for his family against the cultists group. I would say that the story does a good job at adressing this at the start and then starts to bend into other sub-plots as the book goes on. Of course, with slight reference to the main plot here and there. So far, the three plot lines going on at the moments are interesting in their own right. Elex, Christina and Chrollo's development with their plot is the most entertaining to me personally. I enjoy having the different perspectives between these three charcters and getting insights on their personal lives and oppinions. The second plot including, Harrison and Raja, is a nice pace aswell. I think the author is using the the different characters and perspectives to include world building in the story and to see how different people veiw said world. I would also include The king and his council as its own plot line but since there isn't enough on it yet and that it intertwines with Harrison's plot line, Il just leave it as one for now. The final plot including the more recent character, King Aureus, was nice and refreshing. I cant say much about it since we only have one POV from him. However, the little info we got on him was interensting to say the least.
This is my first review, so please don't think Im writing t - uchihafighter36Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Ok, so, after reading this chapter this story so far is pretty interesting. If I'm being honest I had come from reading many reincarnation isekia light novels and there is a general trend that they follow. Upon the beginning of this Magic highschool arc, I was expecting to see that same cliché "Know it all" main character plotline, but I suppose so far, that it isn't going down that path which is nice and refreshing. I'm a huge fan of the different perspectives, but for the sake of time, I don't think there is any point in giving the perspective of someone unless they are a long-term character. Unless it's crucial to a certain situation, I don't think there is any point in giving the perspective of a character who isn't going to be relative later on in the book (NOT SAYING YOU ARE DOING THAT THOUG), just a heads-up. But so far, I think the story has potential and I'l invest my time into it.
