I was such a loser in my last life that the gods gave me a second chance. I wasn’t going to waste it. The catch? They sent me to another world. A world still stuck in ancient history where status was everything. Worse yet, I was born a lowly porter's son. I was destined to be unremarkable...again.

But there was magic. Magic I could learn and manipulate using my skills as a programmer. And if I got good enough then no one could stop me from making the most of this life. And what did that mean in a world of such rigid hierarchy? Sitting on the highest throne in the land. The Pharaoh’s throne.

I’ll just have to get rid of the old Pharaoh first.

I'm really enjoying this story. The ancient Egyptian basis provides reasonably well-known but very little used background and basic mythology, so that you feel like you know what's what without info dumps while also experiencing a completely new setting.
Grammar is great and the story flows nicely, save the occasional typos and higher punctuation errors which don't really impact the story.
It's also fun to be able to interact with the story itself and help craft the direction it goes through polls from the author, which is a great idea that encourages reader interaction and overall investment in the story.
MC is smart, cares for those around him, yet isn't afraid to go against anyone if it suits his purposes. Definitely well thought out, with understandable and relatable motivations and goals.
I'm interested to see how the author reconciles this established character trait with mc becoming the paladin of a god. Will it go the way of PH (drinking buddies), or something more servile or perhaps contractual?
From what I've seen so far, this story deserves more attention than many I've read on this site. I'd definitely recommend this story to anyone looking for an interesting, fresh (yet well-established) take on the standard isekai plot.

Love Aiden/ Egen. Sometimes progression fantasies make MC's 'blank slates' but Egen has a strong personality! He's clearly angry about how his last life ended and still has a lot of that anger coming into this new world. He's just directed his anger to his low-class.

Sometimes the MC is just meant to be a side character and this is one of those times.
I do not recommend this story on the basis that no one needs this much mediocrity.

I was really enjoying this story until I got the chapter with an update from the author saying because it wasn't making money they weren't going to bother finishing it. Why leave it up on RR then? Makes me not trust that they'll finish anything so stuff the book and stuff them.
