Thirty years later she's spent much of her life having her own adventures and doing her damndest to avoid Magical Great Britain while spending a full life of being a witch and gathering her own allies, fighting her own enemies, and worst of all dealing with family and uppity assistants. Very interesting premise! The usual trope of being Isekai'd into another world is here, but what's unusual is that the story starts 30 years afterwards.
Despite taking place in the Harry Potter universe, there is plenty of originality; the initial setting and most of the characters are new content.
I'm interested in this story, in both what happened in the first few decades of the main character's life, and what is yet to happen. For what it's worth, I like her personality already, and find her quite likeable.
Overall, great start, from a great author! I suggest trying this story.

This story is one that takes the best parts of Harry Potter and runs with it. World Building and whimsy. I read the chapters she has posted already elsewhere and she has a world that breathes and that same tone that makes you question what it would have been like to be born a wizard in the place she sets up.
She invented her own Wizard sport that's like extreme obstacle course capture the flag. She has a whole different set of wand lore and has other areas of the world use staffs or other magical tools instead.
All the while, Septima, the main character, has been going on her own adventures and has a rich backstory of things she's accomplished and they will bite her in the ass.
She also has a variety of colorful original characters. Her assistant Annabelle and her ward Lee are both absolute pleasures and act as very interesting personalities to bounce Septima off of. Her former boss at Smokey Woods (a wizard school in Tennessee she made up) is also always a laugh when he's on screen. The people will be quirky but still feel real with their own motivations and sour subjects.
Grammer is fine with a few mistakes. Overall, totally reccomend.

An interesting take on Wizarding World fanfic, Best Offence does a great job of mixing original thoughts and characters with the world that has already been establish.
The author does a great job writing fun, intriguing characters, keeping a light humor and atmosphere as the story unfolds. Interested to see where this one goes.

I used to be super into Harry Potter fanfic. While that's not really the case anymore, this one was pretty intriguing. Has a nontradition fanfic setting, and so far we haven't even stepped foot into Great Britain. It's neat to see the reincarnation protag this far along their journey already, and the main characters (who are all OCs, as far as I know) are a blast to follow.
Some of the style is a little weird, and certain parts feel like they need an editing pass, but it's a decently strong start. Has some very fun stuff to read.
