Description

What is luck? What is fate? All we can do is stumble along blindly, a noose ever around our necks. And for what? Why do you struggle on. Every day, every single day I wake, I ask another day? Is this it? I want strength! I want power! I want to be above all, to stand on the highest peak of the highest mountain, to look down on everything and everyone!

I want, I want, I want . . . Fool. Naive. Idiot. Again and again, you have neither the skill nor the talent, not the body of a warrior or the mind of a sage. What can you do Magnus Lund? Are you happy? Ha ha . . I forgot about happiness the day I died. The second time I died I forgot about love. I've died so many times, forgotten so many things . . what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Well, I'm going to kill you, and it's going to make me stronger.

Look forward to it.

    Spoiler: Spoiler
love it! Usually I hate tragic stuff, but this one was realy great with very nice character progression.
The sad parts were sad, the shit he went trough was character building and alowed him to eventually grow.
And tragic stuff was well written and placed there for story instead of shock value like others who push as much shit as they can in mc past so he looks stronger or for shock value . . .

You're pulling off a story in a completely new universe, with original characters, powers, good writing, decent grammar. It's amazing. I want to read more.

To begin with, I’d like to point out that English is not my main language, and that what I will write may be influenced by my personnal preferences, so… This is just the point of view of someones who likes to read a lot of different stuff.
Honestly, I found the style great : while it greatly differs from what is often found on royalrod, it reminds me of great books I used to read when I was younger… A kind of American or European feeling, I don’t Know how to express it but still… The story is made clear, the descriptions are sufficient to have a good idea of how the world should be imagined, and it flows well.
The story this far is intersting, and the author is building a world of his own, whtch seems to grow continuously. While some things are left in the dark (maybe I missed something), they are not relly important, and information later given to the reader may help him to understand.
The grammar is clearly not a problem here : I found one or two typos, and a word placed strangely, but that’s far from an issue here. I may have missed soome things, but it does not change the general feeling.
The character is quite likeable, and even if he has flaws, they are mainly explained by his past and his age. We cannot expect him not to make mistakes, given his lack of experience and knowledge, but he still tres to do his best.
Oh, and one thing I don’t undestand is how he is able to  shout when he is hurting all over, but that’s minor. All in all, it is a great read in my opinion, and if my review may be lacking, I tried not to spoil a thing, which proved to be quite difficult.

First I would like to point out that I am no critic for I have no knowledge of bisecting a story and explaining what I found inside, but as an avid reader I can tell you what I see from my point of view.
The style is amazing, and although it is not unique to the author I find it rare on royal-road, your storytelling brings out the best of the story and no note  worthy cons, the story is entrapping you never know too little to feel lost yet you never know too much so you retain your curiosity,  much credit is owed to you for pulling that off.
The story is has a special magic system, and finds a way to make alchemists viable and powerful antagonists, each has his own subject of study, thus making each one special in his own way. The author gives the protagonist powers that both protect and destroy his body, they strengthen and weaken his spirit, I personally love how the protagonist has his little moments of insanity, hats off to you sir.
The Grammar is acceptable, I myself am no native speaker of the English tongue, but although it is uncommon to find grammatical mistakes, they do exist. And if you need a proof reader I would offer my lowly skills. (Can make true on the offer on weekends only)
It is hard to make a Character true, and what I mean by that is making the character feel alive, giving him a personality and making him react to circumstances as only he would, many authors make the mistake of inserting their own ideals in a made up persona, making it plastic and fake.
Here, even with my limited experience I find reading this story is as if I’m watching an adolesant  boy growing up and being shaped by his circumstances.I’d like to add that at the beginning it is a little misleading, as I interpreted the protagonist as a mere child from his dialog and later found out he is a teenager, but that again is entirely plausible as the character has no education.
To summarize I very much hope you enjoy writing it as much as I enjoy reading it.

Slightly predictable, but really well done!  Thanks so much for putting the effort into this!  Very, very well written.  Story could use some work, but which cant?  The world seems pretty small, confined to the conflict of the current arc rather than part of an actual world so far.  But again, not an issue relative to it's awesomeness...
This is not  an rpg, game-like, wuxia, xanxia! thank you so much!
