Description

Cyril, the affable third prince of the Wandering Phoenix Tribe, awakens in the desert with no memory of his recent past. Destined to serve as the future Librarian of his people, he never expected to become the vessel of Behemoth, one of the World Titans. These celestial beings, ancient as the world itself, have distanced themselves from mankind for as long as recorded history; they areviewed like the eruption of a volcano, or a tsunami capable of washing away an entire nation.

More interested in reading romance novels than conducting war, Cyril seeks only to return to his family and people. Soon he discovers he is not the only anomaly to arise, and not everyone has such peaceful intentions.

Armed with only an unfathomable reservoir of mana and the spirit of a colossus, Cyril will have to stand tall through the upheaval of the old world, and the birth of a new one.

What to expect:- A cultivation story with litrpg elements, mostly loot and quantifying progress through realms- Strong to OP protagonist with a primary affinity to Earth- All my stories have dark fantasy elements w/ some gore and graphic violence but this one leans lighter- 3x/week 2k-2.5k chapters- A banger

The book is well written with only a few typos I noticed. The plot so far has good pacing though characters haven’t had the time to be fleshed out there are good starting points. I think the concept is solid and leaves lots of room for an interesting set of powers and characters. Worth a read !

Behemoth is a very good story. The beginning starts off a little rough without much exposition, but you learn a lot about the world as you go along. The Characters are all very likable and make me to want to read more of the story. Overall a very rewarding story to read.

So far this series has been nothing but solid (pun intended) as far as I'm concerned. I've broken my review up into two sections, reasons to read / avoid the series, and a separate section where I address the individual components of the advanced review.
    High level points:
    - While it is litrpg, it is not what I would refer to as "crunchy" litrpg. The litrpg elements are more used as a systematic means of tracking and differentiating the growth of the character. They could be completely removed, and I'd argue it would have minimal impact on the worldbuilding. There are no healthbars, no analyze, none of that stuff.
    - While the story is "behemoth" the protagonist is not a titan (note the lack of non-human MC tag). He is bonded to the titan, and this has consequences and will shape the way he grows in power, but he is still mostly human.
There are indicators of the protagonist taking on more titanic aspects, and I suspect he may eventually be able to transform into a titan, but this is speculation on my part.
    - There is no exposition dumping, or hand-holding with regards to the worldbuilding and the power system. Little is explicitly explained in detail up front, so we are left to figure things out based on the crumbs that we are given. Obviously as the chapters go on things are explained more, but you're not really going to be doing any theorycrafting here as the power system is more xianxia based. Instead the author lets us steep in the mystery a little, which I thoroughly enjoy.
    - While the protagonist is OP, the story hasn't really taken a blatant turn towards power fantasy. If you want a protagonist who's blatantly steamrolling the opposition and is a super special snowflake, look elsewhere.
    - Seeing the tragedy tag has me a little scared, having read the authors other work (Desolada), which I thoroughly enjoyed.
    - Tonally I'd say the tone (optimistic/ pessimistic) of the story leans toward what I'd call "realistic", without skewing into grimdark territory (I say

What the title says. It's unconventional, but very enjoyable. Gets into action immediately, from Chapter 2. I liked how magic is handled, how it works, and how the antagonists are set up.
As of the latest Chapter, there isn't anything that I would call a significant downside. If we're being nit-picky, I would say the plot develops very slowly. That's a personal preference, though, and I like the slow worldbuilding, as everything is unique and interesting.
The update schedule is on the slow side, but you can't expect more out of authors writing as a passion/hobby.

The author promised a banger, and what a banger it is.
Cyril, prince of one of the desert tribes bonds with a legendary titan: Behemoth. During the process he is separated from his tribe. Stranded alone in the desert we tag along as Cyril tries to find a way back home, but fate has something different in store for him.
At the moment there is not much to speak about the plot. It might change sooner rather than later.
Worldbuilding doesn't feel like an infodump.
The MC's character has no inconsistency(and I quite like it). Also the introduction of new characters is gradual and easily manageable.
Grammatical errors are next to nil.
    Lots of potential.
Keep up the good work dear author. Hwaiting!

    Delicious power fantasy.
Strives for a good Litrpg balance, and doesn't show too much which I think is to its benefit.
    Really enjoying it so far.
Will also say I love all of the spirit interactions so far, you get the sense that they can all see a bit more than the MC which I love. The Prince is really good at just seeing the truth of the matter.

For awhile I skipped over this story thinking it was a pseudo Final Fantasy 16 fan fiction, and while there are some similarities with the elemental titans, I am glad to say I was mistaken. So far, this series has reminded me of some of my favorites and some of the best in the Xianxia genre. For fans of the genre, I think this is a must read, give it five chapters and if you aren't feeling it move on. But I belive most will fly past that five chapter mark without noticing.

A LitRPG cultivation world where people have to fuse with a spirit to further their cultivation. MC bonds with a legendary titan.
Cultivation/system is interesting so far. A rare Earth element using MC. Interactions well written but the MC hasn't reached civilization yet. Grammar is fine. Characters are fine. Plot isn't that deep yet but so far is interesting.
No major red flags. A good story with a lot of potential.

I like the idea presented in the synopsis a lot as I'm always looking for stories that will have the Mc as a titan in some way.
But, unfortunately, this story just doesn't connect, and I'm just not sure I have the vocabulary to explain why but I will try.
So first off who is the Mc? A prince of some kind from somewhere with some kind of backstory I think. It's unclear, who the Mc is as a character. I think this happens because the first chapter has no dialogue and only confusing introspection with a very hard-to-follow line of thought from the Mc. This needs to be fixed in some way, maybe with an actual dialogue with the titan and Mc with italics and bold words to separate the thoughts and make it easier to follow the different sources of thought happening.
Secondly, there's no context to the Mc's current situation, like why did Mc wake up where he did? We are told what's normal for "Spirit Bonding" but we are not told about how this process happens or maybe we are and I just didn't understand the description of it. There's more to this second point but I'm just not sure how to put it into words yet.
Finally, the other characters fall very flat. I think this is because they are meant to be esoteric and conceptual characters. I can see the attempt with the introduction of the "imp" but even with his personality traits they just fall flat. They don't make me want to read more about them, there's no charisma or hook to them. The other character by ch 20 also is flat and uninteresting, unfortunately.
I am really hopeful that this story will start hitting the marks soon as I am really into the idea of the story.

The story is too desperate to get into the action and cultivation. It doesn't let you know why the MC is, how he fits into the world and where he is going. It's just here is dude and boom cultivation action... Very disappointing since the author has clear writing, just bad storytelling.
Also as a personal preference I really hate how "cantrip" is used as an over arching term for spellcraft and not just back pocket spell's. Also the mixing it together with use of chi in stead of mana. Just pick one. And lastly the constant sentence structure of "the cantrip X". Just use the cantrip name in specifics and cantrips when talking in general.
