- Improving writing style as this is my first novel.

- Creating in-depth encyclopedia entries to enhance world-building.

- Refining chapters based on feedback.

- Designing a custom map inspired by the Bannerlord Calradia map.

This fiction is still in progress and I am constantly editing the chapters to correct my mistakes so please point out if you find anything in the comments.

Publishing 4 chapters weekly based on my availability as I like to read the chapter again before clicking on the publish button ^^.Tools that I use -Grammarly to modify my sentences and use synonyms.Google Docs to write these chapters(I use Google Docs in Chrome to take advantage of some extensions).

The Author has created an extremely gripping fantasy world that's elaborate and interesting at the same time. Characters are designed extremely well. I am hooked to the story line and I immediately want to read the next chapters. Action sequences are well described and character introductions are also very thoughtful. The journey that our hero endorse is fantastic, Main character is written extremely well but the supporting characters are fantastic as well. The character design for Augustus is fabulous.
Author kcreated an enthralling narrative that perfectly balances the excitement of a video game world with emotional depth. The protagonist’s journey of self-discovery and overcoming challenges feels both authentic and exhilarating. The supporting characters are well-developed, each adding complexity to the story. The pacing is spot-on, ensuring constant engagement. From epic battles to quiet moments of reflection, every scene feels intentional, making it an immersive experience for readers. The attention to detail in both the storyline and character design ensures this fantasy world feels rich and real. A truly captivating tale that leaves a lasting impression!
This story brilliantly captures the essence of fantasy and adventure. The plot, where the protagonist is transported into a video game, offers an exciting blend of mystery and action, keeping readers hooked from the first page. The world-building is impressive, immersing us in a vividly imagined universe with its unique rules and challenges. The characters are thoughtfully crafted, with distinct personalities and growth arcs that are both relatable and compelling. Each character brings something essential to the narrative, enhancing the emotional depth of the journey. Overall, it’s a well-rounded and engaging tale with a fantastic sense of wonder and adventure.
Thumbs up from my side. Waiting for the next chapters.

    Spoiler Alert
If I had to tell this story is like a wine the more you read the more it gets better. I started reading it around 10 days ago and since then I've been mesmerized by the story.
The story is not rushed apart from a death of a main character which I thought was important apart from that I think the pace at which the story is moving forward is appreciable.
After completing like twenty chapters  I've been spamming next chapters button quite a lot while waiting for new chapters.
Introduction to different characters is interesting I would like to see more chemistry between the characters like for example silvana finding a love interest and I really hope that this is not a harem novel where the protagonist will have multiple women at his side. Making this story a harem will be a crime. I'll update this review After reading more chapters.
I would like to see how this story will move forward in future
There are a few points that might needs some improvement like in the Starting the introduction to different empires is a bit confusing so there should be some more details as I feel.

Thanks for writing this wonderful story about my favorite game, I like how you slowly bring the story into perspective and make it more interesting each chapter and I also like how you portray each character in different ways as well as how you make them different from each other but still they act as one.

The protagonist’s journey from leading a mercenary group to building a kingdom is engaging, and the companions’ unique skills and personalities make the story even more interesting. There are a few rough patches in the writing, and the pacing might feel fast at times, but overall, it’s an enjoyable read. If you like strategy, kingdom-building this is worth checking out! Waiting for the next chapters.

This is a lot of fun! I have played the game but I was never too deep into the lore. I think you can easily read this and not need a knowledge of the game.
It’s a fun read so far, very few errors, good battles, and I like the characters. Give it a read, for sure!

"BannerLord VR" is an immersive journey that combines elements of adventure, nostalgia, and emotional healing. The protagonist, struggling with personal loss, finds themselves trapped inside a VR game that holds sentimental value. The story is filled with both tense moments of survival and introspective realizations, making it more than just an adventure—it’s a personal quest for a sense of belonging in a virtual world that feels far more real than the life the protagonist left behind.
Style: Mischievous Hund does a great job capturing the atmosphere of the BannerLord world, especially with the evocative descriptions of Calradia's factions and the game's marketplaces, but sometimes the descriptions become repetitive. The writing style is very immersive, drawing the reader in with detailed depictions and a rich narrative voice. The vivid scenery really helps bring the game world to life, and I appreciated the depth of nostalgia and emotional reflection. The chapters are a bit short for my preference, but with the rate of release it's fine!
Story:  The story delivers a mix of nostalgia and a survivalist tale that works well for fans of the game. The protagonist’s journey is compelling, with the initial setup of escaping from their grief through gaming and then being trapped in the game world creating an interesting emotional hook, although there are moments where the pacing could be uneven. The protagonist's memories of family and the growing connection to the world of Bannerlord add emotional layers that enhance the standard "trapped in a game" trope compared to others I've read. My only small critique would be that some parts of the initial adjustment to the VR world could have included more active exploration rather than introspection, to create a stronger sense of wonder and danger at the start.
Grammar: The story’s grammar is excellent, with few noticeable issues. Sentences flow well, and the language is clear, making the narrative easy to follow, though occasion

While this is written as a fanfiction it reads very much like an original work. As someone who is not familiar with the source material I never felt left out or confused by the world.
The author must have loved the game this is based on as the level of detail is phenomenal.
Style- This story is written in a very go with the flow style. The main character knows he is in a game and makes the decision to just play it out. The way the story moves through the world is very smooth similar to when you've played the opening level of a video game so many times you can just seamlessly move from one point to another without having to wait for an explanation from the game.
Grammar- I did not notice any glaring issues. Commas here and there, but overall completely readable without having to stop and dissect paragraphs or sentences.
Story- The story is pretty linear which makes sense when you consider it is based on a real game, but the author keeps things interesting with his characters. Each new character adds so much depth to the story and opens up new avenues for different plots and character growth.
Character- The characters are the meat and potatoes of this story. I'm not sure if they are pulled from the main game. If I had to guess I would assume they weren't from the game, but either way they are fantastic.
Whether you are familiar with the game or not you should definitely read this book!

First off. This story feels extremely authentic to the source material. I say that because it is based off of Bannerlord the game. As the name suggests. Puts you through all the same stuff you would normally expect. Character creation, starting with a bit of food and a handful of gold, finding safety in numbers at the nearest town, and scoping out where the first arena is to nab some easy cash.
Style: The author’s style is very easy going. Each sentence and paragraph paints a clear picture for the reader, making it easy to keep reading chapter to chapter. Speaking of chapters. The author does a very good job with chapter length. They’re on the shorter side, but don’t waste any time getting to the good stuff.
Story: The story follows a nameless character at the beginning. As he is given a quick backstory and almost immediately immersed into a VR game based on Bannerlord. Well… it is Bannerlord, but VR! He quickly figures out that he’s stuck in the game, and even faster, decides that he’s ok with it. (Real life sucks anyway) The story progresses at a pretty brisk pace from there. He finds group to take him to a town to join an arena fight, they get attacked, etc. I’m not going to spoil it for you, it’s very much worth the read. Needless to say, it gets really interesting.
Characters: Not much to say about this. As stated above, the story follows a nameless character at the beginning. The author should think about changing that. His identity before the immersion in the game gives a certain weight that could make it even better. (Just my opinion.) He is later called Augustus, once in the game. And is a pretty interesting character.
Grammar: I’m not an editor, but it seemed fine to me.
Overall I am really enjoying this story. Its well written and engaging. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in Isekai/portal fantasy. Or anyone who loves the game, Bannerlord. I won't deny, it made me want to start my 100th campaign… Which I probably will after this review.

I really appreciate how this story takes a fresh approach to the "trapped in a game" genre. Instead of giving the MC overpowered abilities or an elaborate system right from the start, we see him struggling with the harsh reality of being thrust into a medieval world. The way his gaming experience translates into practical knowledge rather than supernatural powers feels authentic and grounded.
The author does a fantastic job of world-building through natural progression rather than info-dumps. The political dynamics of the Western Empire, particularly the tension between Nadea and Tadeos, unfold organically through events and conversations. I especially enjoyed how the Encyclopedia entry about Garios adds depth to the current political climate without breaking the story's flow.
The character development is handled with subtlety and care. The MC's transformation from a lonely gamer to a capable mercenary quartermaster feels earned, not forced. The supporting characters are equally well-crafted - Manes with his complex past and principles, Silvana with her determination and admiration for Nadea, and Cassius with his quiet loyalty. Each character's motivations and backgrounds are revealed gradually, making them feel more authentic.
The action scenes are particularly well-executed. The tournament sequence and the bandit camp raid show the author's skill in balancing tactical details with emotional weight. The violence isn't gratuitous but serves to highlight the brutal reality of this world. I appreciate how the MC's first kill affects him psychologically - it's these human moments that make the story compelling.
The system elements are refreshingly minimal. Instead of constant stat updates and skill notifications, we get occasional reminders that help track the MC's growth without overwhelming the narrative. The focus remains firmly on character interactions and plot development.
There's also a clever use of multiple perspectives, like the chapter from Manes' POV, which

Bannerlord VR is a relatable adventure story into the fantasy world of a console game. The story begins with a relatable teenager whom longs for nostalgia, only to be incidentally pulled into the hyper-realistic fantasy world of Calradia. The approach in 1st person story telling allows for the author to provide a meta-commentary while fleshing out a unique world with distinctive features.
Calradia is a unique continent with deep lore that mirrors the Dark Ages in Europe following the disintigration of Rome. At the center is our main character whom will travel the world and engage with the developments of the Calradian continent in a similar way we've all done with open-world video games.
At it's heart the story is best at that escapist narrative which makes you want to know more about the world the Author has created. The Main Character has a relatable and realistic depiction as a casual teenage whom gets pulled into something so much bigger than himself.
    Areas to improve:
The Main Character needs to be properly named and fleshed out in his personal life for the first chapter. He is known as "Augustus" after entering the world but this is an alias. I can sense the author wanted everyone to project onto the MC; however the main character has a gripping backstory featuring a dead family and a longing in his daily existence. More time fleshing out the kid before he enters Calradia will make him more relatable to audiences. Most importantly, it gives the author more to play with when crafting the protagonist's character development across the story.
The most important encouragement is to relax on the exposition filling with the world-building. There are places where the narrative summarizes the main character getting his bearings when instead, time spent interacting with more people through authentic dialogue and action could convey the critical information while leaving the rest to strong implication.
Bannerlord VR is brimming with lore, escapism, and Im curious where
