Bad Luck

Description
Luck's ideal version of a journey to another world involves many things. Those things do not include unhelpful fellow otherworlders, a bad guy so nice that he makes the good guys look bad, and pets that end up smarter than him.
Unfortunately, when you're just an unlucky side character in a half assed isekai plot, that's exactly what you end up with.

- Apollo149Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is a pretty fun world the author is trying to build.
I have to say, I really enjoy the authors humor at times. Like in chapter 3, there is a problem with the help menu and whatnot, but how the main character deals with it, is how I would feel. So, I had a good laugh.
I can also see how the author is trying to build up his main character while doing some good world building. I hope in later chapters the author will push and challenge some of the concepts around the idea of being trapped in the game. I feel like I see some foreshadowing, which makes for a good read.
Anyways. Keep writing and enjoy. - BansheePandaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0For once, I feel like I found a gem before the rest of the site. I got lucky and caught the title in the recently updated list, and it just caught my eye. I'm super glad it did.
Bad Luck is the kind of transported to a game world isekai that I enjoy. So far, it's shaping up to be light on the stat screens, and instead, we're presented with an intriguing world caught somewhere between true and false. What's real? What's a dream?
The NPCs are interesting, and the way Luck interacts with them is refreshing. Just as Luck, they're real people, seemingly locked into their roles, though there are hints not all of them are as they appear. Rosa and Rue, for example.
I'm looking forward to future chapters.
Thank you, Perfidy, for writing something so interesting. Please, keep up the good work!
PS: I suck at writing reviews, and can only leave a few of my thoughts. The story is great, and I haven't noticed any glaring inconsistencies or plot holes. For being something written in the dead of night, probably while you're delirious with sleep, everything is surprisingly coherent. If I had any complaints or observations to make, I'd share them, but for the moment can't think of any. If I find something I feel needs improvement, I'll come back to this review and edit.
In short, this is a great story in the making, and everyone interested in the isekai/portal fantasy genre should give it a shot. - SchuldraighRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Has the potential to be very interesting. The synopsis is a bit long, but it's mostly accurate.
Oddities:
Spoiler: Spoiler
The RPG doesn't give you a starter weapon, and somewhat bugged the tutorial quest instead of forcing it down your throat like almost every other RPG in existence
Illusion spell doesn't require initial long cast
NPCs are aware of the title of NPC
