So far, the story has been refreshing to read.
This is a 1st POV story, and even if it is not my favorite POV, as i prefer neutral narration, it still is interesting to follow as Del doesn't take life too seriously at first. It might have a bit too much jokes and references for my taste, but once you get used to the old man, it brings a smile to your face.
The story in itself is, so far, following some famous tropes I won't mention here, but you'll find it easy to follow as chapters pass. The first fights he had, the fact his cat follows him, and a few other things make this better.
Grammar is very good, even if i've seen one or two mistakes, they're usually spelling mistakes, and don't break immersion. The author's level is very good, and it seems proofreading is done seriously.
Characters so far have been pretty common, but I'm not disappointed, as I have read way too many novels and always expect more and more. The very good point is the MC choice, which is really unique compared to the norm ! It's a risky move, and I wish it success !
