Description

I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE; I KNOW IT IN MY BONES. They say I'm Poseidon's daughter, but I can't hold a candle to the other Icons. I'm not beautiful or talented...I fail at everything I try. I thought my appointment was some kind of twisted mistake...until I discover a horrid truth. I've been chosen by the gods, but not the ones upheld by everyone in Atherall. My world flips on its head. The temples are a gilded prison. What's real? What's a lie? ...And the man at the center of it all—can he be trusted? Or is he just as fake and treacherous as everything else?

If I had more stars for style and grammar, I would use them. In fact, I would give them 10 stars each. :)
Honestly, I am not an avid fan of this genre of fantasy (preferring instead fictions with happy endings and clichés. In general, it is not my cup of tea, thus the fact that I am giving it a high review is proof of how beautifully presented this fiction is.
The grammar and style are stellar. Despite not loving genre in general, they were what kept me reading for more.
This fiction's cover is very good and it (the fiction) has amazing potential.
The story and character development is still pretty shallow, but this is more of a testament of the short nature of the chapters than the story itself. So I will be happy to update my review as more chapters come out. A final note of constructive feedback is that the ratio of author's notes-to-story is too high. Personally, I think that there are too many notes before and after chapters. Combining chapters could easily solve this issue. Nonetheless, this author's-note issue is a very subjective theme.
    I can't wait for more.
    Thanks and Well done! :)

Overall - Wow this book is cool so far. I love the world building that has gone into this and the characters. I find myself anxious, excited, sad, angry, all the feels. The way she gets us to feel about characters especially is awesome. And then the way she puts us in the shoes of the MC while they go through the world. There were times I felt bad for the girl, scared for the girl, its just great.
Style - Five stars here, mainly because I haven't seen this style before, and when I've read poetry-like books in the past, they've been horrible, or feel like they're trying way too hard. This one does a great job of using every single line to her advantage. It makes the reader feel like they need to absorb everything, because of how short the chapters are and how packed they are with info and action.
Grammar - All good here, I don't see anything to point out!
Story - I like where it's going, it's been very suspenseful, and the ending of chapters leaves you on cliffs. Which is fine...but then I ran out of chapters to read lol.
Character - There are a bunch, but they have 'markers' or memorable things about them. So it's not tough to keep them straight so far. Hopefully not too many more throughout the rest of the book though! The main character is awesome, and I really enjoy her parts.
TLDR - Read this book. It's a refreshing change of pace here on RR, and a cool story. There is so much to see what happens, and I cant wait to keep reading it.

I'm in love with the style of writing Keegan has! The use of description and first person is so well suited for the narrative that's unfolding as each chapter is released. The World and characters introduced are very interesting and I was hooked from chapter 1.
The narrative itself has me very curious about Priscillas future and I'm looking forward to reading more!

It was really nice to read a female first person pov here, so grateful for that. Style was very interesting, one line sentences that pushed you into reading faster and faster, but it made the chapters though short almost too short and I'm a quick reader, I just wanted to see more interaction and character development. In terms of word count this is prob not even some peoples first couple of chapters though, so it just is taking what seems to be much longer in general to get to where I want to be, comfortable with the story.
Grammar was good, but there weren't a lot of big sentences for me to devour. Some nice character background and memories in the middle and that gave me more to dig into, but I did still want more.
The authors published, and I'm tempted to go check out her other work, so that's a bonus for her. I think I'm more curious if this is her style in general, because I just want more to read, lmao. If that's her goal, done deal.
If I get chance I'll come back later on, but when there's like 40 or so chapters so I can binge read it, I have never said this before, but this one's just too fast for me.
