Now in a new world, he wakes up to find the freedom he always wanted, and oh, so much more. With his new foster brother, Cinder the fox, he is determined to make a difference in the world with his new chance. But in order to acquire power, he must face against trials incomprehensible to simple mortals.

-Hey, Disclaimer: I'm a new author and this is a trial run. I'm super psyched about this story and am just writing it for fun. There's not really a schedule, although I do post somewhere around once every two days, maybe more if I have free time. I have no plan, no plot, no lore. Just figuring stuff out along the way. I hope you like it, and please give me comments and criticism if you find mistakes. It's what trial runs are for!  :P

    The magic system is fun and not as generic, the mc is decently written, I feel like their could be a bit more explaining on his thoughts but overall pretty good. Also has good changes on POV. Hopefully there will be a time skip soon, the baby arc has lasted for a bit. The story has tons of potential and look forward to reading the rest.

    I had a lot to say, but I'm writing this on mobile rather than desktop. So I'll limit it to three points.
    One, there is a really extended baby arc. And the baby arc is one of those xianxia super baby tropes. But more extreme than any I've seen. It's a bit of a mood killer.
    Two, there's a lot of different ideas thrown into the pot, and while the author is good at writing scenes, the medium picture of each chapter and the big picture of each book don't come together well. I find myself asking so many questions because this or that baffles me.
    On a related note, the protagonist's trauma from his previous life death is such a central feature that it really out to be tagged psychological.
    Third, there are some weird metatextual things going on between what the audience was previously told and what the audience reads. For example, the audience reads all the detail of the last life, and so knows it, and then the protagonist had amnesia. So know we know more than he does and he just bumbles around a bit until his memory comes back to fit a plot relevant point. Similarly, we know that the boy and fox will be named Ashes and Cinder. But for some reason, the "naming ceremony" gets pushed off for a dozen chapters, with lots of hype, but is such a small event that I forgot where it happened and suddenly they are named.
    By the by, just a few issues that may kill the mood for you.
