In the wake of cataclysmic alien invasions known as the Gate Events, the fractured nations of Earth unite to form G.A.A.R.D.—the Global Agency for Aetheric Research and Defence. Their mission: weaponize aether, an alien energy source discovered on the Moon, and train a new generation of soldiers—Archaners—to wield it.

Reyn Mitchells, top graduate of the prestigious Brannon-Brook Academy and son of an Archaner legend, arrives at GAARD HQ for his final Resonance Assessment. While other recruits unlock powerful connections to aether with measurable resonance levels, Reyn’s test returns the first-ever null value. His mind doesn't just accept the aether. It absorbs it. The system cannot quantify what he is.
