Description

Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society.

Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts.

Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more.

This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies.

The story has just started out but I had to read all the chapters at once and I want more! Definitely a great start to a wonderful story! The main character Set is thrown into a brand new world of magic that he previously didn't know existed, the way he gets introduced to the world and the way he gains access to the power system is believable and interesting. The side characters, while they haven't had much exposure due to the amount of chapters seem fully fleshed out and not just some cookie cutter replaceable characters. The world building while early has already started to shine, we've just been introduced to larger power structures on the planet and there are probably higher ones on others. The style is good so far, everything flows smoothly and none of the paragraphs ever drag on. I haven't noticed any grammar mistakes and each sentence seems to be well written. I look forward to Set's rise to power even though it's just beginning with his new companion and already looking forward to the continuation of the first conflict of the story. There seem to be plenty of factions on the council that rules the planet and I'm excited to find out about all of them and what kind of institution or faction the MC will have to join to further himself. Intersting story so far, greatest strength has been worldbuilding. Technical aspects of writing need to be improved, but hopefully that changes as the author becomes more experienced.
