Arcane Exfil is a very wel performed take on a on existing concept. It scratches the isekai-itch without devolving into an immature mess of overpowered Kirito clones and edgy revenge stories. In that sense, Arcane Exfil deserves to stand side-by-side with other great stories like "On Foreign Soils We Die". I just hope this story will have more chapters!
The writing is class. For example, Arcane Exfil manages to convey the chaos of combat without losing clarity of writing. Similarly, military jargon - not something I am familiar with - is spread throughout the story like seasoning; it doesn't clutter, but instead adds atmospheric flair.
Finally, the world building is well done. The classical "fantasy world learns from modern people" is there of course, but the inverse is also true. Thankfully, this isn't the story where the protagonist digs a ditch, and suddenly they've invented irrigation and wowed half the kingdom. Instead, the inhabitants of this world are shown to be adaptive and innovative by the works they have created. And when the main characters do introduce modern-day ideas, this is done in a supported and reasonable manner.
To summarize, I'm enjoying Arcane Exfil a lot and strongly recommend it.

I've always thought that Isekais put in the strangest people under the weirdest circumstances and that kind of gets repetitive. "Insufferable character #1432 get surrounded by women for no reason and is made a god #2342". This story really capitalizes on the "what if hyper lethal characters entered a world where their expertise and skills actually translate" concept similar to GATE.
The pacing is nice, the author understands how the military works and doesn't seem out of touch, the story was engaging enough for me to haphazardly come off instagram and read the entire thing in one sitting and make an account to keep up with it.

While being an isekai series, Arcane Exfil nonetheless followed a different formula which is a nice change of pace and I like it. It's not everyday to come across ones that:
1. Featuring protagonists who happened to be actual soldiers in their adult years who nonetheless genre-savvy enough to adapt into their new life instead of high-school teenagers.
2. The fantasy realm being Victorian, steampunk world as opposed of medieval world.
Overall, great job!

Reads like ghost recon wild lands in book form with actual characterization. Great read.The combat is fluid and believable.The characterization and world building is immaculate.The power system is well made and fun to dive into.Many of the enemies are well made.The writing style and grammar is well done and mistake free.Only demerit that I can think of is there is not enough chapters at the time of making this review.
