Description
There is a story where the hero makes friends, completes quests, and saves the world. This is NOT that story. In the VR world of Fate: Experience Acute Realism, the main character cuts his way through both the players and NPCs alike. This story takes a close look at how a true full immersion VR would be played. The setting is an open VR world where the players struggle to survive with a lack of knowledge and the NPCs panic in regards to the Travelers invading their world. The anti-hero of this story is cold and calculating. Sparing no one from his reign of terror he gives into occasional bouts of kindness before he is forced back on the path of blood and tears. For where there is a hero who seeks to bring people together to help the world move forward, there is an anti-hero who brings people together to seize the world for himself. WARNING: This story contains extreme violence, in every single chapter. This story contains references to sex, but no explicit scenes. This story has light to mild swearing. My chapters normally range from 4,000 to 5,000 words. This story does not contain happy endings, middles, or even beginnings.

I have read up to chapter 6 so far, and I love the long and detailed chapters.
The main character seems quite smart, always observing and making a plan for what he is about to do, while also being able to adapt when things go wrong.
It's a nice mix of funny, interesting in a morbid way, and of course absolutely gory.
It doesn't go too much into the details, but still give enough to make an image in your mind.
So far it has been easy to read with interesting characters, good grammar and nothing I can really point out as "bad". This story has my undivided attention, and I hope the author will continue with the long(!) chapters! - DurlekRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A well written piece that will make any sadist grin with glee. Add some grim humor to the mix and casual view on sex and this is a golden gem to read. Cant wait for more.
There are some minor issues with mixing similar words. Example that is prevalent throughout the story woudl be mixing up morning with mourning. Whilst annoying it is easily ignored leaving you to enjoy the twisted actions of a desperate streamer.
Strongly advise people with aversions to torture, rape and gore to not read this story. Whilst the sex and rape does not go into too much detail, it is still there and is no less horrible than the actions be.
BUT for sadistic people like me who revel in the violence and twisted humor, go on and enjoy the ride! - joempireRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0There is something very cathartic about reading this story.
So much "fun" and adventure the main character has. If "I" was one of these other players I would likely be hunting him down as well. But to watch his madness...it's ecstasy.
The story moves along, starting to develop beyond "who will die next", and its enjoyable.
Just a few sporadic errors. It flows very nicely. The length of each chapter is also very fulfilling. No "chapter" I read in less than a minute. Completely rejecting any idea of being a "hero", embracing the feral atatvistic nature, this novel grabs you from the start and never lets go. I sorely wish it was still being updated.

The start of the story was awesome, a kill them all type player. It continued along that route and he even got some minions! However, the later chapters are going all stereotypical mad god style, I'd rather a more down to earth character rather than a 'trying to slay godlike demonic creatures' type character. I'm more of a fan of building armies and/or underground group and taking over kingdoms. That sort of thing, the moment Tafe started getting included, it started to get boring real fast. It'd be cool if tere was more PVP. - The Bus LurkerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story is a fun and bombastic read. The MC's interactions could best be described as "interesting". Despite being 32ish chapters long, this series does take up a considerable amount of time. So if you're bored, then this story be engagingly time consuming.
Onto to characters! The side characters actually play an important role in this story. They balance the MC. The author notes that the difficulty writing about an intelligent MC is that one must always keep them acting/thinking intelligently. Keeping in mind that in FEAR (the VR game) shit goes every which way, and even a man with some smarts can't think of everything all the time. Thus, the side characters add to the MC by supplementing some of his flaws, or the typical "gung ho" mindset taken up by most OP MC's on this website. Speaking of side charcaters, my only gripe is my own attachment to them. As a reader of this series, you have to understand that anyone and "everyone" is mortal. For better or for worse. Some people who you mayor may not care for might live longer than other people or not at all. So when reading this story, you have to take each and every single persons existence with a grain of salt.
This story is mostly character driven, attention to detail in say a fight scene or the aftermath of a fight scene may be described as "sketchy" at best. This is not to say a detrimate, nor is it a problem neccesarilly. I believe that the author deliberatly makes it this way, so that he can move the plot along faster. I personally find this method/style to be hilariously frustrating.
Let's see, anything else to say? The author is part TROLL, part demon, and part bug and part human I guess. He extorted me, a long time lurker to write a review.
