So maybe I'm biased, but a lot of the stuff Sarah's going through feels real. Not the magic, but the sensitivities and friends and problems at school and stuff. She's not really involved in anything, but in high school she gets sucked into friendships that feel super important even if they're brand new, and dealing with them is a challenge, even if everyone is being genuine to her. The magic is just a complication, and it almost feels liek some random hobby would fit in just fine if you wanted to make this a non-fantasy story.
I flew through it. It's a fast, light read, even if it deals iwth things that seem bigger. I saw "slow burn" get thrown around, but I'm not sure if that's really true. I got to the magic stuff fast, and the friends stuff just as fast. Maybe ithey say that just because there hasn't been any fighting yet.
The spelling and stuff is fine, but I did notice comments with corrections, but it looks they all got fixed, the problems aren't there anymore
The story is pretty hyperfocused on Sarah, we meat family and friends and stuff, but it's always through her eyes and perspective. She learns she has magic, meats other people with magic, and they all learn about it together. And getting friends is just as important and new to her as the magic, whihc is probably why this feels relatable to me.
    Love it! Blue ribbon!

I like it so far. I'm actually kinda sad that I caught up, and surpised at how quickly I read through it. lol. I've been going nonstop since I found it, though, so I shouldn't be too surprised.
I like the characters so far. I like the direction the story is going in. I like the magic system that seems different from anything else I've ever read. I also like that it takes its time and moves along slowly, but it doesn't feel like it's dragging along. The flow is good.
I think the author does a good job of making things believable and understandable. Overall, I'm really looking forward to see where this story goes.

So far so good! It's a slow burn but it's really setting up something interesting, and has that annoying 'just one more chapter' feel. Hey man, I've got things to do over here.
I really want to know what the hell is going on, and I suspect the author is aware of that, and is punishing me accordingly.
Style - slow and steady. There's a bit of superhero origin feel, a bit of horror. Sensory details are obviously very important to the main character, so these are explored in depth, the world mostly internal as she struggles just to survive her senses/magic.
Grammar - clean. No obvious issues that I found, and I'm pretty picky. Nothing to take you out of the story.
Story - a kind of mystery plot that's taking its time, but that's mostly the style. By chapter 10 or so we're still eagerly trying to understand what's happening to our hero and the curious jock. But damned if I'll stop until I do!
Character - I'm not sure if our hero is Carrie or supergirl or somewhere in between. She hasn't much time to develop because literally her entire life is symptom management. I'm hoping she gets the chance!
All around a great story for those who want to unravel mysterious magical powers and abilities.

I haven't gotten very far in this, but I'm very impressed with the author's way of depicting the interior world of the protagonist. Since her inner world is a big part of the story, this is important, and it could easily be overdone. But the author manages to keep it moving and happening, even while the details are coming thick and fast, and that's not easy to do! Well done!

As the title says, the story starts off slow but begins to pick up after chapter 10. It's written well and is a nice change of pace from other urban fantasies I've read that throw you into the deep end from the beginning.
Style: the writing follows the thoughts emotions and interactions of a teenage girl, and it's written perfectly to represent that. The prose isn't too flowery or wordy and it feels like a good reflection of a teenage girl in the real world
Story: once again, the story starts off slow, which could be seen as a slight problem if considering marketability to wider royal road audiences, buuuuut also it has begun to pick up and I'm intrigued to explore this unique magic system further. All in all, the world building aspects of the story so far outweigh its slower start and the reader is able to understand more of the MC's world before we explore her powers.
Grammar: nothing much to say here. It's been great so far and I haven't caught anything at all.
Character Score: I'd love to put this at full stars too but there are points in the story so far where I'm not a fan of the MC's interactions with other people. I assume some of that's done on purpose to show how unique her personality is. All in all however, even though I may not like her personality at times, her character and the other characters we've met so far all have their own fleshed out characteristics. They're all written incredibly well and I applaud the author on having the patience to create a world before jumping into the more fun parts of the story

One thing that has been very frustrating with all the books that I read is that they tend to play on entirely new rules.  If the author is very good the rules are kept pretty consistently, but you can imagine when the author is not so great and they change or break the rules as the story progresses.  The thing is, the further you get away from the way reality really works, the more you have to make up or create about the social dynamics and consequences of every little thing.  This story is wonderfully imaginative and at the same time it's so close to something I can relate to that I don't have to analyze or try to extract all the things that are created new.  I will surely update this review if I feel compelled to say anymore since I haven't read the whole book yet, or rather I haven't caught up with what's been published yet.
Thanks for this excellent story, so far.

The first book is so good!!  This is a really great story, and the voice is something really hard to find on RR.  Honestly the author needs to publish.  Sadly, there is much less direction in the second book, the author tries to get political and obviously starts stumbling with their writing.  Still, while I would normally lower the stars for a declining novel, the first novel alone is one of the best and is worth a read.  Author should probably leave this to one book and make new postings for the other colors.

The Title of this review is a contradiction but let me explain myself!
The story starts following Sarah, she's average, her life monotonous as one would expect from someone in High School. We follow her view and see the world through her eyes. A challenging task, writing in the perspecting of someone in that age and putting yourself in that persons shoes to portray what they are seeing but more importantly what they are feeling is a difficult task.
The author does this so expertly, that even in the early chapters, the story is interesting and you want to find out more.
I'm a big fan of the style, there is a depth to the MC, and you really get to explore deeper meanings through her tribulations. I can't say that I can relate to the character herself, but the feelings she is invoking are definately relateable and exactly what you need in characters.
The story is at a good pace, maybe slow for others, but a good build-up just makes it all the more satisfying when certain powers start being evident!
The grammar is meticulous, couldn't spot any errors, author has evidently put a lot of time into this and has crafted a very well written story.
Great series and looking forward to reading more!

A very interesting book, I must admit. The narration is extremely slow. The author is lengthy in describing every little detail. However, for some strange reason, it isn't boring at all. It is, in fact, a surprisingly soothing experience, and the story flows nicely.
The main character Sarah is a girl attending high school. She is suffering from a strange affection that manifests itself in the form of a fog. I think the school environment is portrayed here very well, and the almost palpable anxiety Sarah is feeling is something a lot of people will find very relatable.
Characters are portrayed well, and each has its own depth and uniqueness. Grammar seems fine to me, with the occasional mistake here and there. As I already said, the pacing is very slow, but the writing style is great.
Overall, it is a fine story, definitely worthy of a read. It's just that it isn't immediately clear what the story is about. Is it just about the life of Sarah and her struggles, or will the magical elements play a bigger role in some grand plot that will be revealed later? The story is definitely intriguing enough that you want to keep reading to find out.

Near the beginning the Author switches from 3rd person to 1st person done in a way I didn't realize until halfway through the paragraph. But she eventually gets into the groove of it. And the story starts to flow quite nicely. The Theme is made clear by the Author. If anyone is interested in a school life/supernatural story with spiritual elements this story is for you.
Style: Could use some work in the beginning with the switch from 3rd person to 1st. But it does not take from the story and the reader is able to follow the story.
Chronolgy: It was good and I was able to follow well enough without having to wonder what happened.
Plot: While the theme is clear I wasn't able to clearly identify the plot within the first 15 chapters I read. However I do feel it was hinted at.
There is a strong Plot device being Sara's blue and Finns supernatural encounter.
Character Motivation: Aside from what Sarah doesn't like or what she finds wrong, it's not entirely made clear what motivates her.
Grammar and Vocabulary: It was fine and I had no problem reading through it.
Characters relationships: A little confusing but I feel it is deliberate.
Character consistency: The Author has ecthed out the MC and it shows with Sarahs consistency.
