Description
An Un-Ideal Eternity is about a man named Desmond, who is killed, revived, and then finds himself immortal in a post-apocalyptic society. Just because it’s a society doesn’t mean that either he or “they” have to be civilized. And just because a gentleman has become immortal does not mean that he has no dangers to be wary of.
The good news is that he’s been afforded some verykindand very generous ministrations from his future-self. The bad news is that all those efforts might still not be enough, to allow our hero, to live in as untroubled and as un-tumultuous a manner as he’d prefer.

- GibbsonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly I really enjoy this story, the characters, and the world. Indigosharpe has a very unique style which can be hard to follow or understand -- he'll touch on events that only come to light much later on in the story, a very bad and incorrect way to describe it would be 'a highlight reel of actual events.'
As for the story there doesnt seem to be an end goal for the mc aside from figuring out what future mc wants so it feels like a slice-of-life in the same way that One Punch man is a slice-of-life.
The grammr is really good, most of the mistakess or inconsistencies happen in dialogue which can be explained as the people just talk weird.
The characters are either flaat and uninteresting or really dynamic bust mostly they alternate between the two and gradual character development seems rare but that kinda comes back to mr. IS's style.
I'm happy to read it and get excited with every new release. - ButcheredSoulRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Honestly speaking, this isn't a great story, but neither is it a terrible story. There is something good about everything in life, and the same can be said about this. Many may not find the story enjoyable, but others may. I find it amusing and interesting to read, for it varies greatly as oppposed to most common stories on this site.
I highly doubt it will ever get finished, but I shall enjoy the story tills it, whatever it may be. - OsbornRoyal Road★★★ 2.5This story could have been a good one, as I can see that the author put some real effort into writing it. Unfortunately, as he did so, he completely disregarded some of the most basic points that every story should try to develope.
For once, the story has no purpose whatsoever. The actions of the main character doesn't seem to lead to anything, nor do they have any objective at all, and at times they are even contradictory, to the point that I find them very illogical/useless. Considering the no small number of chapters released and the fact that, after reading all of them, the story still doesn't lead to anywhere, this could actually be considered a talent of sorts, right? lol
Another problem I see with the story is that it really has only one character, and that is the mc, of course. How can anyone expect to write a decent story with only one character is beyond me. Obviously, in this story, there is no character development, as there are no other characters at all. As such, there are no dialogs either, and no story progress. Naturally, that also means that even though the author added the tags "Harem" and "Sexual content", there is nothing of that here.
Lastly, I find that there is no consistency with the story. The levels of power are so messed up, with so many ups and downs and changes, that I got to the conclusion that they are completely unreliable. The same thing happens with all the time travel and deaths/rebirths. The author should really try to put some order here.
It is truly a pity, because it could have been a really nice read, were the author to put some effort into the "plot". - AuraErosionRoyal Road★★ 1.5The idea was cool, the writing was good, grammar was good. But the story itself.....was very hard to keep with. Partway through I got completely lost. Things that could have had more time spent on them and others shortened. I feel alot is missing. Things in the story jump around a lot. Characters are introduced and then never seen again.....it just doesn't flow or work at all.
- TemporaryEnjoymentRoyal Road★ 1.0So the review under me explained it in a really shitty way, but he's right. This novel reads like an essay with line spacing added in between each line to fill it out and to make it look like he's written more than he has.
Also who gives a fuck about if he's copied someone's writing style, this writing style is cancer and just made it hard to read.
All in all it's not worth reading in my opinion, the writing style with the tiny amount of content in each chapter just made it really hard to read; for example with the first fight the main character encounters, most stories would have the fight happen in one or two chapters describing what happens and the struggles and actions the MC does, this story however has one chapter describing him getting smashed through a wall and then in the beginning of the next chapter the author just says:
"So,...I didn’t die. I should have died, but I didn’t. I’d waddled my dumb ass out into the wastes, like a noob gamer, all decked up in all the premium gear that his daddy’s credit card could pay for. And somehow, miraculously it worked out.
Don’t get me wrong I was hurt, looking like a mummy, wrapped up in towels and bandages to keep my inside parts from getting outside, while my body healed itself, but I was alive.
In my book alive, always counts as a win. Or at least that’s usually the case. There was always those pesky fates worse than death, but those were and few between in popping up, right?
(....Right?)
“[Status]” I gargled. Growling the words out through my broken jaw.
The status window popped into being, just like I had expected it to. Cool blue and semi-transparent just like in a video game."
Yeah least satisfying encounter I've ever read in a story.
