I read this story on r/hfy last year. I don't make review much, and very new to this site. I have read plenty of stories here. I'm from Belarus, and I am sorry if my English is not perfect. I want to support author because he is good friend, so I will try to be unbiased but I cant help but say I love this story!
Book2 is also now starting, so I am very excited to continue reading.
First of all, characters are the best part of story, I have not read many scifi book that has alien as main character, but Tov is my favorite. He reminds me of an old soldier, and he is from what Ive read.
Eldest is also amazing, read plenty of stories of AI that are evil or broken and out to kill, but she is nice but scarred.
The dialogue is very emotional, plenty of scenes that stick to my mind since I've started reading. Sometimes however, and again this is because my English is not good, some words and sentences are hard to understand for me, haha. It's ok, but I don't think it is from author trying to hard, i just need to learn more.
The setting is big, plenty of history and worldbuilding. Its mystery still because we are in one place. Spoilers, so i wont say.
I like the main enemy. Really like monsters from outer space, it has flavor of Lovecraft, but then we have Eldest and shes also strong.
I don't know what else to say. This story has been a rollercoaster of sad, then hope, then sad again. I feel so sorry for Eldest tho, spoilers.
This is not a great review, but I highly recommend this book. I will read the rest, keep up the good work Mr. Girogi! Much love. 10/10

Awesome series with a breath of new and unique story line. Not the typical saga of human space adventures, instead we are shown non human organics learning human existense, culture and eventual demise...unique story were AIs are not evilized.
Overall:  One of the best space saga i have read in a long time. Good pacing, and well developed characters. Done well by an exceptional wordsmith indeed.
Style: Simple and straight forward style yet complex enough  to srir our minds and keep us on our toes and wanting for more. Surely worthy of future film adaptation
Story: simply unique story line with humans as not the central character. Well developed storyline with battle scenes so well written one could actualy visualize the whole scene. The torments of the broken AI minds is so well developed and written that it is hard not to understand how well they have evolved and why they are accepted as a specie of their own.
Character: Could ask for a better character developments. I like how some chapters are devoted to telling the inner workings of each individual character, AI or organics and how they interact with each other as ebemies or as allies.
Grammar: The aurhor has good authority on grammar. A wordsmith indeed.

Style: Lots of world building is already a plus for me. The characters are also well introduced with each of their own personalities and goals. And although there's a lot of information, it is not hard to get back to the story after taking a break from reading it. There are a lot of difficult and archaic words used in this story. I guess its part of the style, I don't particularly like it but i also don't dislike this type of style.
Story: Usually sci-fi stories are about humans finding life outside of their own. In this one its reversed, it is about life from outside the earth finding out about humans. Which is somehow very fascinating for me, finding out what would the aliens think about us, and the author did a good job in writing this.
Grammar: Lots of misspelled words but not so much that it disrupts the flow of the story.
Characters: I really like the way the characters are introduced and early on you can see their motivations and personalities. You can also relate and empathize with them a lot which is a plus for me.
Overall: I recommend this story for those who like AIs, Aliens, Earth culture, with a dash of drama, conflict, and romance.

I'm not particularly into space opera---it's just not my jam, but I enjoyed reading this one. The characters drew me in right away. I feel they are very well developed, especially the main character. We feel the emotions deeply, and I can see why it is labeled as a psychological, haunting tale because those vibes definitely come through as you read.
As I mentioned, this is not my typical genre, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but the story feels very in sync with what I would anticipate to find in a space opera. The descriptions are rich and the writing is heavy with details. The story pulls you in with action right from the start---something I was grateful for as I tend to enjoy stories that are a little lighter on the description.
There were no glaring grammatical errors to note, and I enjoyed the storyline. I really didn’t see any reason to dock the story hugely and didn’t want the fact that I’m not incredibly into the genre to effect my score, so I gave it 5/5 stars. Well done to the author. I feel like this story is only going to expand as it goes forward and gain an even more epic feeling. Well done.

In my limited experience, there is a certain mood to space opera that is hard to pin down. Yet, you know when it isn't there. A certain flair, a touch of melodrama, often a story that is heavy with emotion and philosophical issues.
Amidst the Bones of Heroes absolutely nails that part so far. There are a lot of emotions involved, and the writer seems equally adept at exploring the darker sides and the warmer, more solemn emotions. And I can’t wait to dive deeper into the AI considerations of the story.
I won't give too much away of the story itself. Just that we find ourselves in a situation, where a lot of people find themselves tested and pushed to the limit - and the fate of the universe is at stake. As with most good sci-fi, there are no small stakes here.
The writing itself is good, World building is relatively limited at this point, but the world is opening up as we get a feeling for the kind of universe we find ourselves in – as well as Earth’s fate amidst this.
There are a few typos here and there, but it’s limited enough that it by no means detracts from the reading experience.
As for the main characters… this might just become the major selling point of this story, along with its theme. We are dealing with deeply troubled people here, complex people who are in a situation that have left them broken and reeling.
I’m already rooting for them to win… and start healing.

This story is a bloody masterpiece, well I'm calling it that because the amount of time I spend on the verge of tears is unacceptable and I will have my emotional support but here you go a comprehensive review.
Style: nothing to scoff at virtually the same as many but the author manages to make it unique, I know all author have differing writing style but as it comes to paper/digital form it is all in Word, and it depends on his/her ability to bring those word into life. And bring to life what the author did with an amazing ability to convey word into emotion and dialogue.
Grammar: never been the best judge of this so I'm going to leave it to other but from what I seen they are little mistake in the first few chapter but the rest is virtually great with no mistake from what I have seen.
Story: a new take on combining overpowering Ai Stelkaris style with q post-apocalypse feel with a stalemate and more and it certainly a great take as it bring out what make a space Scifi story great. And a overpower protagonist with flaw whether it is the Eldest emotion and trauma for:the constant warfare.
Character development: every character have a development in one way or another and it bring out life into this world plus it touch my tea of a post apocalypse sci-fi space story.

While the plot is rather simple, yet solid, the story makes more than up for this with its characters. There is not a single human in this story, yet each and every character feels more human than in almost any other story I've read. Each with an incredible depth, emotion and relatability. The story The story is also amazingly written. The author used the English language in ways you don't see often. Always the right words and tone with well written action and attention to detail that hooks you from the first chapter. It's easily in the top 10 best sci-fi stories I've ever read.

I like the story, I read it, I enjoyed it.
The prologue is great, the pacing is good, the story and writing are really good.
The AI come off as actual AI, some of them act cold and robotic, others follow their other 'styles', such as Mars being warlike to the extreme, the boss bitch is cold and calculating, Luna is like the mother of the group, all in all each are unique, and I like all of them.
The xenos aren't flat either, which is really nice
Its rare for a story on RR to immediately interest me, its even rarer for me to find one that isn't already on the front page that i enjoy, but I enjoy this one. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves, and I hope you enjoy writing it, because I want to keep reading it.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who is a big fan of space opera stories, especially if they like to see what happens when AI are running the show.
Each character is unique, I haven't noticed any real grammar issues, the story is progressing smoothly and cleanly, its certainly unique, and when you have so many things going for a story it deserves the 5 stars i'm giving it.
Also, Mars is my favorite so far, easily the best AI. Go little AI war machine go.
    Keep up the good work.

Ever since I've found this on Reddit I have always came back for more and more. What I think this book does well is world building they don't just throw a bunch of speel at you in the start. They bring you in and slowly add more elements to the mix. It may be a long read for some but I think it's worth it.
