- CederjackRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Before I get started, going to say, don't know what series Amaterasu is from but it doesn't seem to matter much. So far it's a 10/10 feels good man kinda novel and I love it. It's got the right blend of action, storytelling and comidic elements to make me want more. I can't see anything I would improve, aside from lack of chapters, but we will hopefully get plenty more so it's just a waiting game right now. Keep up the good work!
- FuggmannRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The site will say I reviewed at chapter 1. Please disregard that, as I've already read the entire thing on fanfiction.net, and am basing this review on chapter 9, the lastest chapter as of this time.
Style: The story flows excellently. Descriptions of scenes and people set the stage for the reader's imagination to take the wheel and fill in details. Amaterasu's supernatural feats remain impressive without being bogged down with excessive words. Action is quick and just as long as it needs to be, making you lean forward as you read.
Grammar: No complaints to be had here. I've not stumbled over any errors that caused me to have to pause and re-read.
Story: Most of us know the MCU story, and I assume most of us know the Okami story as well (If you don't, then Amaterasu, the Shinto Goddess of the Sun, assumes the form of a wolf and saves ancient Japan from demons.) You wouldn't think mixing them would be compelling, but you'd be wrong. Amatarasu is on a mission to restore the faith in the divine to the people of Earth, and does so in her divine, doggy way. The story is a delight with many light-hearted moments that the MCU needs, with more somber and serious moments breaking up the silliness. The more serious moments all feel as if they have weight to them, and aren't rushed or hamfisted. I'm eager to see how the story plays out, because as of chapter 9, Amaterasu is just getting started. I admit I wasn't a fan of the gamer/litrpg aspect of the story at first, as many writers just use "number get bigger" as their form of story progression. I'm glad to say that's not the case here, and it's grown on me.
Character: So many people foul up Amaterasu as a character, either making her a stoic brick of a dog or a dumb mutt with seemingly RNG decision making skills. I think InfamousVenous has nailed Amaterasu perfectly. She feels like a bold. benevolent goddess who isn't afraid to mingle with mortals or do what she thinks is right. Her power has weight to it, and she's willing - Nightmare SpadeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love it so far!!! Can't wait for the next update!!! You are doing great!!! The story is interesting and the main character is adorable!!! I love wolves so having one as the main character is awesome especially since there isn't a lot of animal main characters. It's great when the main character is something other than human.
- QuagsirePallyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of the best comedy series on RoyalRoad. The main character is likeable, her goofy antics are funny, and the narration is pleasant and easy to read. The hero is genuinely heroic, the MCU characters all feel pretty similar to their on-screen appearances, and (refreshingly for a fanfic) it doesn't lean too hard on any of the source material—it should be plenty enjoyable even if your only background is having watched the first Avengers movie. Fun for the whole family.
- Umbral PlagueRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly speaking, this is a very well written, thoughtful, and loyal to the franchise, to the point that I believed whole heartedly that The Wolf goddess of the sun existed in this world.
The characters feel like themselves, Ammy is adorable in her mission to help, and The Ancient One paling around with her cracks me the hell up, Especially when a certain doctor gets involved.
I only wish for more, MOAR GIVE ME MOAR!
