So far (chap 17) so good. It take pokemon and with it create a good story, I am impatient to read more.

The world is built on the pokemon lore and sticks to it where it matters. Where there are deviations it's basically just slightly less simplified and a reinterpretation of what it takes to make the pokemon world actually plausible. In fact some of the few gripes I have is that it sticks slightly too tightly to the source and some things still don't pass the sanity test.
