Description

Character-driven action/fantasy/mystery/litrpg.

The World is a cruel place. You must choose your Skills wisely to learn the truth that lies beyond the Five Territories of Man. The Territories are isolated areas shielded from a hostile environment known as the Mana Expanse. Humanity feels safe knowing that they are protected by the Boundaries from the horrors and monsters which dominate the world outside.

Yet on this day, a Boundary fails.

--------------------

Alan looked up through the crack in the wooden wall at a hazy sky. The morning sun was just peeking out over the horizon, lighting a world in which there was no longer balance. He watched thin wisps of clouds swirling in the breeze above his small town. The gentle mists moved with no intention, flowing in sweeping circles creating a thin veil yet to be burnt off by the red morning light.

Taking a deep shaking breath, Alan shifted his gaze down towards the corpses of everyone he had known. His heart beat faster as his eyes adjusted, the red light above meeting the bloody red scene below.

Was he the only one left alive?

Nolrichard has written a great start to the story. I really enjoyed the first 20 or so chapters.
Sadly it doesn't look like this will updated again for a long time. I was truly looking forward to more of this!
Hopefully nolrichard is alright and one day comes back to continue this <3

One of the best litrpgs on royal road. Grammar and story are excellent, system is excellent and characters are awesome. Chapters seem to come out once a month which is not ideal but still better than nothing.

dont listen to the guy complaining about the character build. It actually makes perfect sense in the circumstances. Only an idiot would choose otherwise, the MC is actually acting realistically. Great story, it’s like everything you love, with a unique twist. Definitely worth the read! Please don’t drop this. I love the skill limits, adds some gravity to every character! Great stuff!

Extremely well written story in style, detail and grammar.
    Likeable and relatable main character.
Logical and practical System that doesn't compromise realness of the world.
Gritty mysterious world and plot that will not be resolved in black/white silly way.
What else there is to desire in a story? Good harem/romance development? Not this time I guess. Well, who knows tho.. mc may yet step foot into university life.

One of the more interesting LitRPG introductions I've read on this site.  The author does a good job of staying away from the cliches of granting characters instant power or automatically giving them a unique and impressive skill.  The story progression is interesting, and feels more realistic than many other stories where the protagonist never actually fails or suffers hardship because they always have the perfect skill.  That said,
    Spoiler: Spoiler
I agree with ChillingBear - it makes almost zero sense that he would avoid telling the guards the truth, and feels completely unmotivated.  Also, it's weird that there were at least three separate factions involved with him leaving the guardhouse.  One, I could believe, two would be odd, and three feels totally unrealistic.
Gripes in the spoiler aside, I really like this story and think these early chapters show promise, especially with our main character starting to develop and actually show a personality that isn't driven by shellshock.  I really look forward to finding out where all of this is going, and hope the author keeps the story up for a good long while.  Lots of potential for an amazing tale.

Try it for yourself. I think he builds the story and character although weird plot armor at ch 15 i think but maybe it will tie back.

This story throws the hero of the story straight into the deep end with no training, skill or knowledge to help with his predicament.
Perhaps I should of titled it like a Russian story review.. it was bad and things were dire, then it got worse.
You read on to see how he copes, it is still reasonably early in the story, so his life might get better soon.
Maybe not, either way its a fun adventure.

    Simply good.
That's the best way that I can describe it. I recommend that any new readers read the first chapter to see what it's about.

I'll state right off I am not a fan of most Lit-RPGs, my preference is for understandable characters and burning OP self inserts at the stake. That said I do believe this author has talent...if he could get past his modern sensibilities.
The MC is a teenager, a very young one but still a teen, and his every action doesn't reflect this. Puts all of his points into Luck, that's fine if desperate, but then he leaves the rest unallocated presumably due to some local tradition about age limits. Then after a week he spends in the 'very recently sacked village' he finally decides to leave and travel to a semi-distant settlement where he warns no one. He's a victim, acting like a bad thief lying his way into their barracks, where he's then met by a Psychologist? A trained, mental health doctor in a pseudo medieval setting?
At this point I just had to put it in the 'wait for the rewrite' pile for the author to learn. I know it's nitpicky but the little details are what build up the setting and this fiction just reads a bit to much like a modern MMO then a believable world. Putting game mechanics into a world should have an effect on the culture, but what it shouldn't do is add modern slang, modern job titles and sensibilities, or such artificial actions to a MC.
still I do believe the Author has talent, just lacking in experience.

and got nothing first chance we get to expirence how  he changes from previous events he becomes docile and listens to what he’s told and reacts contededly too having his life threatened the the psychologist came in
so in just the first few chapters let’s see what huge ignorance’s this author has people he seems to think people would be totally docile and have fruitful nights sleep after your village was slaughtered lol like from his perspective maby an hour or two has past and he is sleeping like a baby.
military organizations  they didn’t just lock up some one with the potential to cause a panic through out the town I could go on about this point it’s really dumb and there are more holes  but I’ll move on. Setting a psycoligest came in a medevil world just wow read a book because psychology would be ridiculed and ignored more realistically they would just pay a mother money to sit with him and talk to him if I need to explain why then you are not worth my time what a waste of those who came for a good story with characters you wanna watch grow then go elsewhere that ain’t here This is a generic power fantasy if there is character development it’s retarted and would have to ignore a defining moment for the character making it stupid as all hell
    lit rpg stuff surer boring
