- Semirg naeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Found these books on audible. Started listening to them and the only problem I have with them is that there's only five of them. They are fantastic. The characters are fun and interesting. There's enough tension without it being the only thing. The book is about plenty of wacky parts, plenty of tension parts, plenty of power and just an interesting magic system. Cannot rate this book highly enough. Absolutely love it.
- SqueeWritesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've always found the idea of card based LitRPGs to be really interesting, but this is the first one that really hit the spot for me. A great balance of system and world being affected by each other and the overall world building is superb. I highly recommend this story!
- But2eneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0We get to follow the hero from rags in its poor village to riches thanks to it special advantage. I really like progression fantasy. The lore around cards makes the world building interesting to me.
I am mixing the first three books in my memory because I read them several months ago, but it was fun to see the character progress through hardship.
I just finished book 4 on Amazon, and I went back to Royal Road because I want to read MOAR. Book 4, more particularly second part, brought a lot of lore and progress to plot. I can't wait to see more ways for the main characters to use their skills to win in non-obvious ways ! - CarelessParsleyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is well written and the MC is relatable. The initial card MC has gotten is a mechanic that we've seen many times before (hi Mark of the Fool) but the story is written well enough that it's fine for now, and deck building suggests that the story will get mechanically more interesting. Let's go!
- DemotiousRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As Franky from One Piece would say, "SUPPPEERRRRR"
Great attention to detail and leading the story in a very interesting direction. Amazing Characters, and chose a perfect fit for the narrator for ther series. Book one is out on Audible! Don't Miss out on hoping on this hype train! There isn't a ton of Deck building LitRPGs yet and this one really did hit the spot I was craving for. Such a unique spin on Magic and you can't forget it has Dragons! - ShadowWriterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Amazing book; truly a must read! I finished the entire series from the start of the 1st book to to the very end of what has been released in the 3rd book, all in 1 day simply because of how good it was. I would sincerely recommend this book to anyone and everyone who like fiction and/or high fantasy
- EarthbinderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What a great and unique world. It's almost an apocalyptic kingdom fighting the world. But there's magic and collecting. And random boosters (ish)
what I really want is the Rpg sourcebook. Preferably system neutral or narrative.
I want to know more cards. I want to know the systems I want More.
pls write - EndersGamerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This was my first read into the deck building genre. Really enjoyed the pacing, the character development and the overall tale. I like how the protagonist wrestles with being both good and bad. Dipping into skills that he thinks will corrupt him yet still maintaining his upright stance and moral code. Fun read, keep it up. I'm excited to see what is coming next.
- FlynnRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm loving the feel of it! It gives me Dawn of Wonder Vibes. The main character acts his age and the story has lots of possibilities because of the good world-building so far! I'm curious as to what sorts of classes there are, and wether classes exist outside his master of skills card?
- Ghfghf7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I didn't think the deckbuilding mechanic in this story would work, but it totally does. The story is a slow burn fantasy, which I like. The author does a great job of fleshing out the characters and making them relatable. Each section of the book (arcs) is perfectly paced. I can't wait to read more of this series.
