aiAI: Love's Logic
Community Rating
Description
Do you believe that love is pre-ordained? Does some unseen destiny govern the fates of your red strings? Or do you instead suppose that love is grown with effort and time? Well, what if, instead, love was one phone call and appointment away?
Such promises were what led sixteen-year-old romantic, Bridger Blaithe to the doors of a peculiar company: aiAI Industries. Specialized in the creation and maintenance of romantic relationships, aiAI promises you the love of your dreams at no great cost or hassle! Such was the case when Bridger was matched with Amanda Adler, the person whom he would spend eight blissful years of his life with.
However, as time passed, sparks turned to mere embers, and the love that once felt so close became distant. Ending in a divorce, the two set off on different paths with mutual heartache but no ill-will. As a strong, steadfast individual, the story begins with Bridger in a depressive state, questioning the authenticity of his love and blaming aiAI. That is when a knock on his door is heard, an opportunity presenting itself from the very same company that gave him a chance all those years ago.

- AnyvrushRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've only read 27 chapters so far which admittedly isn't that much, but i've enjoyed every second of it. The story delivers what its supposed to, it's a comedic slice of life and a very enjoyable one at that!
Advanced review:
Style:
The story is paced well, I always know what's happening and where. Personally I don't mind it to much but it does read very similarly to an anime, which can be slightly off putting at times but functionally there's nothing wrong with it. 4.5/5
Story:
There kind of... isn't one? As of right now it's still a slice of life with a backstory and intrigue, that being said I do really look forward to watching Bridger and Myla's relationship develop. 4/5
Grammar:
I haven't spotted any mistakes, the author uses the word banter a bit too much(enough to notice) but aside from that it's perfectly readable. 5/5
Character:
Bridger is a very enjoyable character to follow, he's both witty and intilligent(not some genius, and not some brain dead idiot like other stories on this site) and his banter with his partner Myla is fun to read. 5/5
I'm not a writer. I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I do spend a lot of time on this site. I think love's logic deserves to be recognised even if it doesn't fit the royal road demographic. Try it! - SivilRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I think this is well written but the romance tag indicates the expectation that the main character(s) will be involved in a romantic relationship. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case here. There is romance but it is between secondary characters and always from the outside looking in.
I think a big part of a romance novel is experiencing the emotions of a romantic relationship in a way that is intimately relatable. This novel is ABOUT romance but does not allow you to experience romance. It feels like the story is the novelization of the feeling of being a third wheel / wingman, likely not what someone looking for a romance novel is expecting or wanting.
In addition while I initially found Bridger and Myla bantering witty and at times funny, near 50 chapters of it at this point just feels like a running gag in an endless sitcom. This mirrors the feeling of the story as a whole in that it doesn't feel like there is any sort of direction. Thinking on it more it does feel like this is a sitcom instead of a real world.
