- NecessitysslaveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really dig a good intelligent crafter. The main character is confident and clever, progressing through his professions with good honest hard work.
Interested to see where this story goes. - ZedicousRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story to this point is both intreging and we'll thought out, with the MC having a very distinct personality and goals. I enjoy the fact that the MC doesn't always do the obvious (to the reader) but has his own personality and preference on how to do things.
I also enjoy the fact that when he can, he chooses to put in his own effort and time to complete a task instead of spamming his ability, but is still willing to use his ability when he needs to. - John DeBlancRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a fun serial. Focused primarily on building a crafter. Well written and really enjoying it. Highly recommended, heck I'll even recommend it when I'm not high!
- Amank AbdurahmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm not good ar writing review, so I'll just say you did a good job with this story. Well though and realistic. Keep it up 😙😙😙
- Drake19Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5One of the best mmirog novels in this site. Especially since there are so few crafting types, it is nice to see a little behind the scene of all the battle and glory
- FluffigeniusRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Pretty great story. Though the World does feel pretty empty.
- IamkrazycatRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0conclusions of rant at the bottom
why are there only 4 stats? this is for the rest a rant but i do like to know the thought process or an explanation why 4 are better than lets say 6/7/8?
My main problem with the stats are that it feels like they are made with the mc in mind instead of the game cause our mc needs every stat, power to swing his hamer, endurance to keep moving, agility to make detailed things and magic cause he uses magic but i feel like power could have easily be damage and magic damage (you should name it something like strength and intelligent but for this rant i will use these simple terms), the same with endurance --> stamina/defence/magic defence agility--> speed/dexterity, magic could stay the same if you have magic damage. And if you use my system he doesnt necessery need half the stats (he stil needs damage/strength to lift things and hamering things, but he doesnt really need magic damage, defence, magic defence and speed if he focusses on crafting they are still usefull but he could have stats that are on the lower side and this boils down to my main problem with the stats, because he needs every stat every stat is the same and thats boring i dont know if you came up with the stat system but i really liked it you could have a stat spread of 70/50/100/90 and it doesnt force you to pick the 50 because the 50 cost 510 exp and the 100 cost 1010 exp it is cheaper to grow the 50 but if your 100 is more important you can grow your 100 without wasting so much more exp what i mean by this is that the stats dont exponentially grow and a stat doesnt have to be 2 time better for there do be a little diffrence in stat spread. but because every stat has a role that is sort of equel it evens out and it is just such a waste of such an unique system) i also had a cool idea with your system, pump most of the stats in magic and make a heavily enchanted armor set so that to run his enchantment he basicly cant use magic but he gets a massive boost to one or mo - EcilopRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5As of now, having read as far as up to Volume 6, Chapter 28, as the review title suggest, this book will only interest you if it is your style.
Like some have failed to realise, and called the story 'lackluster', it is a story focused on crafting, alongside the tag of slice of life. This means it will highly focus on the small details, on the life of being a craftsman. This means, do not expect a crafting scene to be summarized into a few sentences, or a paragraph, then have 5 chapters worth of action, and dungeon diving.
The world and characters are all very ordinary, yet unique in their own way, meaning this is not an over the top book which tries too hard to appeal to readers who decide to ignore the slice of life aspect, and focus on the fact that it is a MMO story, with action and a strong lead.
Personally, the author does an amazing job, keeping the slice of life focus on the crafting aspect, and not shifting away from the main focus of the story.
To put things simply, this story heavily emphasizes the 'Slice of Life' tag, in the aspect that the story is about crafting. If you do not like books going into high detail about the smallest of things, this story is not one for you. - CiellandrosRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5While I'm sure many people have noted it, Volume 6 really sucked the wind out of the sails of this story. I really don't like prisoner arcs in the middle of stories, it is not only limiting, but in a novel based so heavily on crafting, it really felt forced, both to explain how he could still get slightly more powerful, and how he was willingly going to craft weapons for them.
As an example, they never showed him they had captured Snowlily. That's a pretty big red flag. And wouldn't his bond tell him roughly were she was at? If she wasn't nearby wouldn't he have noticed? Yes I get that's supposed to make him feel a bit foolish and be a nice surprise that she was never there, but like I said, it felt like it didn't make much sense to me and he should have realized it a lot sooner than several weeks. And if he doesn't care that much about her, why not just get free and take the risk? Like if he doesn't care enough about her to want to see her asap, how am I supposed to believe he feels that strongly about her? It may be a trope, but in most every kidnap scenario, you demand proof of life/proof of good health. Especially if you're making something as significant as weapons to strengthen your captors. Yes he did slightly subvert what he made for them, but it just seems like if he's treating the entire thing in such a cavalier fashion. Even while trying to emphasize how angry it made him, all I really thought was, gee, guess he'll be doing more crafting, just not for himself. If he cared so much about it, I feel like the very idea of being forced to make anything for someone would be such a hard no he'd rather die. I do get that maybe the risk of Snowlily dying is enough to prevent that, but again, he just kind of went ""Yay crafting!" and never really said or did anything to make sure Snowlily was alright so it feels pretty stupid if that's supposed to be the case. Maybe I'm wrong about all of that that, but still, it's a very flawed section of the story to me. And it a - LameNameYoRoyal Road★ 0.5Arc 6 was just a giant useless section that the author decided to write and then come back to from another characters perspective while including the character everyone wants gone. At this point I'm pretty sure the author is just trying to see what he has to do to get people to stop reading the book.
That was my tipping point.
