Description

Vander lived the life of a Delver, adventuring into monster-infested Doors, and risked everything at the behest of theDepartment of Magical Handling and Abnormals. When other Delvers fell, he returned alive. Highest without contest among the rankings of Delvers, he'd dedicated his whole life to being the DMHA's puppet.

His reward?

Execution.

But his soul was whisked away and reincarnated on Gaia, a magical planet at the early stages of development and a stark contrast to what he was familiar with. Come to find out, some angry god had a mean streak and was out to get him.For the first time, he was free and wouldn't let anything ever take that from him again. Demons or angels, gods or primordials. Whatever may come, he wouldn't back down.

With the ever-looming threat of being found out by The Mad God, Vander has to learn the ways of the new world, gain power enough to save himself, and find his new purpose in this world of unimaginable possibility.

Disclaimer: This is the roughest of rough drafts, and the goal is to crank out words at lightning speed (tehe). When the base skeletal storyline has run its course, hard-core editing will ensue. All the problems readers address (unless intentional) and my own qualms will be assuaged. Then the story, in its entirely revised and edited fork, will be relaunched.

    Could this use refinement? Absolutely.
Does the story jump a bit at places? Yup.
Are there some details that don't make sense? Yeah.
But overall the story is really good. With some refinement this would be amazing.
Going to follow the author to see where they go with this story and the next ones, as there is potential for them to become one of my goto authors.

A twist on the classic reincarnation story, with the main character coming not from Earth, but from another magic world, where he is a famous Delver. Cutthroat politics quickly send him on his way to his new life, which turns out to be just as troublesome as his old one!
    Style
This feels like a fairly slow burn growth story, trending towards an epic adventure. Without getting too specific, the big boss appears to be one of the Gods, and the main character grows up a savage in a wild forest. I foresee a lot of levelling up and developing skills to get to that level, but it's unclear how fast that can be in this world.
    Story
The story in the early chapters moves pretty quickly, setting the scene for the reincarnation, but then it slows down quite a lot, with much more time spent on exploring the new world. That perhaps contrasts with how little we learn of the first world, and the main character, despite keeping his memories, seems to quickly forget about his past life, rarely reminiscing.
    Grammar
No complaints about the grammar here! But I overlook things pretty easily when I'm invested in a story.
    Character
Probably my major gripe so far is that the main character is given a backstory of a tough, grizzled and world-weary adventurer in an interesting sounding world (from what little we learn of it). But then he spends his childhood being trained in woodcraft and survival in a forest and seems to forget all about his past life. There's almost no mention of it, despite presumably learning similar or at least vaguely applicable skills once already. I'd like to see his actual past have more bearing beyond the fact that he was reincarnated, which is where the plot points seen to start.
    Summary
We're still in early days with this story, and I'm looking forward to reading more. I hope that I'm just impatient and that my gripes will be resolved by further chapters.

You know, after reading the first few chapters (the prologue), i was like damn the author is a devil's whisperer. He made me so invested in the characters, both Vander and Madison, that i personally wanted to go and kill their enemies for them and free them.
After that everything took a downhill. First i thought now that the mc is free and is getting a second chance in life, he would go for it with all his heart and learn to appreciate things unlike how he couldn't in his first life. But unlike what is protrayed the mc is a bitch who does nothinig but complain. He is never one for action unless someone literally puts his neck on the line.
And the mystery, god you destroyed it. Mystery is like food, much the same way we need time to digest it, but you just kept on forcing so much mystery down our throat now its nauseating and i now wanna vomit it out.
Why exactly is the mc protrayed as this Super strong guy called Strom King who is soo strong that the entire planet was afraid of him when all he is after reincarnation is a bitch who complains at everything and needs to learn about killing intent and fighting spirit. Like the guy is literally portrayed as the Executioner and did nothing but kill things all day everyday for two decades and now he needs to be taught how to kill things and harness killing intent? Where is the logic in that?
It's not just the mc the rest of the characters also don't make any ducking sense.
Let's start with the father. He is a Duke (probably only a few in the whole continent) who waits for 18 fucking years to throw his son to the wolves(in the competition to be the family head) when already his son's got a whole cult of zealots who are out for his head(from the moment of his birth). Instead of trying to push him to his limits so he can get strong enough to fend for himself, he actively handicaps/restricts him. There is a difference between having hope and being delusional.
Then Madison, for someone said to be very STUBBORN and Vindictive sh

This is another one on the long list of "Ultimate badass gets reincarnated" stories, and it falls on the most common pitfall of the subgenre
The MC is a normie, and not the advertised Ultimate Badass
After 10 chapters, the MC has existed in-universe for almost two decades after reincarnation, plus three decades before, and all he ever does is to just... exist
First his bosses wont let him be anything else than a war machine, and he just took it despite being the strongest guy ever, now his dad wont let him be anything else than a hillbilly hunter, so he just follows along
I know the MC is just waiting for the plot to arrive and move him forward, but thats the problem
In his first live the MC kinda coasted along, doing whatever he was told, and being miserable for it
Now the MC is living his life by... kinda coasting along, doing whatever he is told, and being msierable for it
All of this while the story keeps repeating how much of a badass he is
Nope, suffering is not a substitute for characterization, and this MC is a badass who suffers, both emo and macho at the same time, and we havent even seen him do anything badass on-screen
But most importantly, he has made no preparations for his life, despite being a supposed reincarnator, and having prophetic dreams about his fate
He doesnt feel like a reincarnated badass, but scratch that, he doesnt even feel like an adult at all
This would have been much better, if the MC was just a regular kid with strange dreams, and a heavy fate to carry

Until chapter 17 I was enjoying big time! Then everything went down hill... Now at 30 and the story is unreadable.
Premise is good and I liked it. But then class assessment started and nothing made sense anymore. On top of that the main character just went dump? Like why and what?
If the story had kept going the way it was going till chapter 16 I would have loved this and given 5/5 stars.... Now though I can't recommend this. Probably I will be back later to check but now? Waste of time and sorry for the author. You have potential, story had potential but this is not the way.
