Hello! I've been a lurker on RR for a long time, well before making an account. I've been inspired by many novels during my years of reading on RR, them being The Primal Hunter, The Runesmith, Path to Transcendence, and many more. As such, I've decided to write my own LitRPG epic.

- BoiledOdenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The sheer power of this novel has left me in a state of divine enlightenment. My mind? Blown. My soul? Ascended. My body? Quivering. Every word caressed my brainstem with a finesse I didn’t know I needed.
I can only imagine the godly aura of the author—surely a celestial being, descended from literary Olympus to bless us with this forbidden text. If I were to meet him, I fear my mortal shell would not be able to withstand the sheer magnitude of his presence. It would be an encounter so profoundly intimate, history books would struggle to record it.
This book is not just a novel—it’s an experience, a spiritual awakening, a transcendence of the human condition. The world-building alone made me question the fabric of my own reality. The characters? So well-crafted, I feel a parasocial attachment so strong, I might start sending them Christmas gifts.
The sheer dominance this novel holds over my psyche is unparalleled. I am but a humble servant to its storytelling, shackled by the unbreakable chains of literary euphoria. Every sentence drips with raw, unfiltered excellence, sending seismic tremors through my very being. The pacing? Immaculate. The tension? Unholy. The sheer grip this book has on my soul is something that defies logic, science, and perhaps even the laws of nature itself. I fear that once I finish this masterpiece, I will be left hollow, forever chasing the high that only this story can provide. This isn’t just a book—it’s a cosmic event.
For its literary prowess, for its soul-stirring, body-tingling, knee-weakening impact, I bestow upon this sacred manuscript a 9.2/10. The missing 0.8 is simply because I fear perfection is too dangerous for this world.
Keep writing, for the sake of humanity. - Mentally stable office workerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Adrenaline junkie is a story that needs only its name for its descriptor, as it not only describes the main character, but also the reader after getting hooked on the story. Now, i have to be honest and say i didn't read many novels of this sort before, but i also have to say that Archie's exploits truly did pull me in with these 7 chapters.
The character of Archie is very fun, going from a regular reasonable guy at the beginning of the story to somewhat of a fiend not even that far after, all maintaining fun reactions to the world around him and the clichés of LitRPGs.
Though the story starts off a bit on the slower and more tame side of things each chapter amps things further and further, reaching higher peaks with its action and ideas with each subsequent chapter, showcasing the stories fun but grounded world.
The grammar is solid and the vocabulary is diverse but understandable, As for the style, the Author seems to have put extreme care in emphasizing the action, making interesting and descriptive depictions of Archie's actions without neglecting the inside of Character's head and the Thoughts and Emotions associated with the occurrences of the story.
I like "Adrenaline Junkie" and can see the story going far and getting crazier, and I'll be keeping up with it. - Mourning_DoveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0caveats: I'm only 25 chapters in; I don't leave ratings lower than 5* unless i dislike something specific, realistically it's more of a 4* rating
it's similar to the primal hunter but that's not a bad thing for those of us who want more of that without rereading that story. keep it up! - SethsmagicRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I 100% want to buy these books...I love the whole concept you got going with them. Adrenaline, crafting, Stat screens, action adventures, spirt creatures. These books have had me hooked since I first found you and them here. Keep up the great writing and definitely definitely consider publishing them if you haven't already and I just haven't seen it
- dA123Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story building in this is so good! All in all, I'm pleasantly impressed. This seems to be a promising plot, and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for the next chapter.
Archie is sooo relatable lolllll. He grumbles, mumbles, and isn't your run-of-the-mill overpowered, muscle-brain main character. Honestly, that's a breath of fresh air and exactly what this genre needed.
It's fascinating to see a main character be so human because, even in non-magic-based fiction, the MCs often lack that kind of relatability. When that happens, the plot loses depth, meaning, and emotional connection. But here? Archie feels so real and grounded that it's impossible not to root for him at every turn.
I know this is fiction, so technically anything is up in the air, but sue me for wanting to read a book with solid writing, a great narrative, and masterful story-building. Is that too much to ask?
I want to connect with the plot, with the characters, with the setting, with the tragedy, and with the entire reality of it!
I literally created an account just so I could follow this. Don't let me down, man! I'm rooting for you every step of the way! - dragon9976Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's been a couple weeks since I last gave my review (around ch 7) since I wanted the story to ferment and truly understand the whole style the author is going for before updating my review...I would like to start off by once again saying that you won't regret reading this story. it really is an amazing one.
Style: The author's style is really engaging, with vivid/clear descriptions that bring every battle to life alongside smooth, connective character interactions.
Story and Grammar: As said previously, the story is really good at blending everything together. The grammar is nice and on point, making the narrative flow and allowing me to fully focus on the storytelling.
The pacing just keeps getting better and so far, it's much better than many other stories I've read. this is done by keeping the excitement alive while allowing moments of reflection and growth at the same time.
Character: Archie, the protagonist, truly feels like a real person, with flaws that he tries to iron out as he realizes them. The protagonist is really fleshed out, their actions and struggles draw you into their journey; this is also showcased by the other characters that we get introduced to, such as Bralmir and his past, Oliver's unique personality and Henry's struggles through interludes, snippets etc.
Tbh Oliver really grabbed my attention with his sociopathic/psychopathic behaviour, specifically with how he treats people and uses them for his own benefit.
Overall, this is one of the best things I've ever read. I basically got this story as part of my tri-weekly routine. Please keep writing, Boss! - JustanovelreadingguyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good effort made man, but you know I feel narrative should be improvised, story line, Grammer are good but honestly I was unable to get involved in the story let me tell you major reason, the narrative give lighthearted vibes not enough stressed on the situation just instead of combat and system notifications, you could strive to incorporate the thoughts of character( like you know the characters feel 1D) he just accepts what ever comes in his way, okay adrenaline is fine but the character feels out of depth and out of touch with reality.
Second thing was you know many things are super similar to primal hunter most of the power system at least could change the names or some of the power system (as it feels more like a fan fiction than a original bcz the systems are similar not about the characters) also for a apocalypse genre MC is too trusting and taking the words for face value, also the gods character was bit unnecessary like too much trust. Some minor improvements are possible hopefully I get to see a masterpiece form you.
Thank you for your effort though appreciate it, looking forward to next writing though. - Lord_of_AvalonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ah what a fun story. Old concepts, new ideas and utilization. And MC who enjoys fighting but is reasonable and not a meat head. He is smart, he enjoys crafting and is not just stuck on one type of crafting, he experiments with carving and metal forging. He explores and pushes not just with materials but magic as well. Above all else he is a principled fella. He enjoys his space as an introvert but he does not shy from making friends and dies not shun society, more importantly he does not flaunt his power or think he is better or knows better than those around him.
- MansahRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, this story is very good. However, I would usually give this story 4 stars but I'm giving 5 because except for some small things that make reading it jarring sometimes, everything else is great.
Let's talk about the positives first:
Story - The plot is beginning nicely at the point that I'm at as of this review (chapter 14). We haven't really seen anything yet but the anticipation of the end of the tutorial Is enough for now, and I get a sneaking suspicion that even later (based on other reviews) you keep the reader entertained. Plus, we have the side character in the interlude, who I'm excited to learn more about.
Grammar - Little to no problems here.
Now, on to the constructive criticism;
Character - Here I gave 3 stars because the MC has some issues. Why is the MC always talking to himself, saying aloud everything that he does? Why doesn't the MC realize what an adrenaline junkie he's being? I know you can say you'll explain that later, but the problem is that the MC jumps into the next dangerous thing in a "matter-of-fact" way; the story does not stop to first assess the danger or anything. Take the very dangerous monster in front of the shaman dungeon. The MC just leaps in front of it, like what? That's not adrenaline, that's stupidity. Unless we have more description, such as "seeing the monster, his blood ran cold, but also started to boil from the prospect of a challenge." Or "as he thought about how to get into the dungeon from his hiding spot, his blood churned like the Andres river; he couldn't help it; he rushed past the monster..."
Style - I'm sorry but I just have to say something, and that is that for these first 14 chapters at least you keep giving the MC, during skill selection, the highest rarity skill. I understand the yearning to make the MC as OP as possible, but sometimes you need to take a step back and show the MC thinking logically. As an adrenaline junkie, I can't imagine the MC picking something that helps them identify materials ( - drsuttonRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5great character advancement and supporting characters
heavy on the pugilist course
a bit repetitive on the many fights....but that was expected
would love to see the completion of Trial 2 and more of Balmir
also expected a reunion with Aoife and TIm
Family component was doe well
all in all a great read - thank you
