    This fic took me by surprise. Saga of Tanya the Evil and Pokemon? I didn't really know what to expect, so I passed by it multiple times. But I was desperate, there's been a huge lack of Pokemon fics that fit my preferences so I gave it a try.
    I regret passing up on this so fucking much.
    Tanya being Tanya, ruthless and cunning as ever, plus a whole bunch of chaos in the name of the Pokemon who chose her. Instead of going down the usual "MC from another fandom goes on a Pokemon journey", I feel like it's pretty unique in the way it's written. And though the world is completely different from her original world, the author stays true to her character, all the while introducing new faces who shake up her rigid personality in the best ways possible.
    They bring out sides of Tanya she’d probably prefer stayed hidden. They challenge her, frustrate her, and sometimes even outsmart her--
    Mimikyuu for existing and hiding in plain sight. And I love how the author made Mimikyuu into an actual doll. I mean, like ppl think it's supposed to be a doll. Ya know?
    Mawile is a fucking menace and I love them for it. But the sledgehammer - omg.
    Carbink is a cutie with the words, "Head empty, no thoughts" behind those huge eyes.
    Ralts.... you know, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Tanya, she gets it from you. She's literally your daughter.
    And force her to grow in ways that feel natural. It’s a rare balance, keeping her core personality intact while slowly nudging her to evolve.
    The story is just as funny as I thought with plenty of chaotic moments (lots and lots of chaotic moments), but it’s also unexpectedly insightful. The writing flows easily, and the author clearly knows what they're doing. (and if you don't, it's ok.)
    If you’re a Tanya fan or just love a good story, give this one a try. It’s a hidden gem that deserves way more love.

    This guy writes good fanfic. Get a patreon so my 5 dollar offering will guilt you into finishing your books.
    9.9/10 good: Characters are all fun to read and engaging. Plots good, as it has an actual story line and end goal in mind. Lots of people don't do that. Writing is good, occasionally there'll be mistakes but just put a comment on that chap if you care and he'll fix it. Pretty funny.
    the .1/bad: Occasionally something slightly far-fetched will happen that suspends belief. In one chapter the MC uses an itemball to capture a crate of pokeballs to fence. Itemballs can only carry one item. It's a bit silly, if that was possible why even have a crate to begin with, everyone would transport mass items in singular itemballs. Thats the most obvious thing, but imo that whole fencing scene could use more build up and explanation but thats just opinion.

    Let's be real, probably the only people reading this review are those who are intrigued by the premise of Tanya doing Tanya things in a pokemon setting, and are just checking if it's well-executed.
    The answer is yes. Go ahead and read it, you'll have a blast.
    If I did have to pick out anything that's missing, it would be a scene where she gives a military address type speech to her pokemon who are in line formation, but it's more likely that it's just not time for that yet rather than it being missing. She just hasn't inspired undying loyalty through the power of overwhelming and gratuitous violence (yet). She'll get there.

    Was well put together I enjoyed it a lot and I hope to see another update soon and I enjoy Tanya’s journey and her interactions with different Pokémon as well as her Pokémon. And I love the chaos mawile causes it just adds to Tanya’s growing chaos even More and it brings a smile to my face.

    This story is all gas and no breaks.
    "AYGFCPJ" (abbreviated title) punches well above its weight class. Plopping Tanya from Youjo Senki into the world of Pokémon is not something I had ever considered, but it is done here artfully.
    Tanya's character is rather complex, and I am always impressed when she is written well. Furthermore, I am impressed with how CluelessRR is writing in her character growth as she adapts to the new world she finds herself in.
    What set's this story apart, however, is its great characterizations of Tanya's team, and their colorful interactions with themselves and the world around them. Their individual personalities bleed through every chapter written. There is no mistaking one of her team for another, they are all are glaringly - beautifully unique.
    I recommend this story to those who enjoy Pokémon fanfictions, even to those unfamiliar with Tanya's character. As a heads-up, the story is technically gender-swap if that is something that bothers you. It is not a major theme here, (as it is handled mostly in the early parts of the source material) and serves mostly to shape Tanya's perspective and to flavor other comedic misunderstandings.

    This is a decently written story that leans heavily on the mayhem from misunderstanding trope.
    Everyong has their own agenda and nobody really understands anyone else’s point of view or goal.
    The author manages to weave a fairly decent story, and despite the tendency of this trope to lean heavily towards becoming nothing but a cobbled together sting of events, it has not yet gone off the rails.
    You can also tell that the MC and her team clearly care for one another and want the best for each other, ever if their definitions of what what that means vary greatly.
    Overall, I have been enjoying this read.

    Has one of the best characters portrayed in anime, while the pokemon world is always a joy to explore.
    This is just enjoyable with enough excitement and content to consume one's day.
    the only noteworthy thing is with the style
    In short, the author lets things go unsaid and implies thing. it’s done well and its totally understandable. An example is that the Mc as one side conversations with her pokemon. But meaning still gets through easily. This happens with other things.
    One just needs a little patience to understand and to connect the dots.
    But yep. This is excellent

    One thing I will say is that Tanya’s an interesting character to try to write since she is a walking contradiction of being a pure evil devil spawn by nature as-well as a deeply broken and sad individual who was morphed by their environment and it’s always fun to see how people write Herat both ends of this extremes wether pure evil or broken so I look forward to seeing how this goes and hope we land somewhere in-between.
