Description
The Afterlife isn't always what you think…
The loving father of three children, Alfred lived a life of few regrets. He served his country far from home. He outlived his soulmate. He died alone.
However, Albert's intentions about a peaceful eternity, reunited with his wife, are thrown out the window when a meddling god digs his fingers into Albert’s afterlife.
The positive? He has a chance to make things right—to live the life that was so cruelly taken from him the first time. Reincarnating into a world full of magical evolutions, monstrous deer, and sassy ten-year-old elves, Albert worries he doesn't have a chance of surviving the three-hundred-years the god promised it would take to reunite him with his beloved.
But if life has taught Albert anything it’s this: If something is worth having, it's worth fighting for. And he intends to fight.

Definatley one of the best fics I've read on this and many other sites! - Lord Of Mild InterestRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this novel. Thats the gist of it. I come by every day *2 days now* to see if its updated, because its so good. The style is neat I personally havnt seen a novel like this before, being light hearted and funny and seriouse and badass. Grammar... if i see no issues than its 5 now aint it? Story, well its very interesting so far with the gods hating each other and doing naughty things so good time there, Torgas psychotic love for his wife is fun to, however besides the god stuff the story is pretty simple of "get strongth see wife". Character is 10/10 I LOVE TORGA HE IS TOP CHUCKLE. Torga is a cranky old man that is very amusing and very cool. Giant snake is not a reincarnation ive seen before, old man isnt somthing ive seen before so originality is *mwa* bootiful. Also his antihero-ness is very neat since Torga is a good guy, however Food > people *this guys my bloody spirit animal*. Basically amazing novel which frequently gets updated with juicy chunks and is basically the closest thing to a legal drug that wont kill you :D.
- An Old BeggarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story takes all the shit reincarnation stories takes out the good parts and puts it together as one marvelous story I personally think the fact his death was all natural was a rather nice touch instead of some weird bullshit
-Hitlers Moustache - 13lack12oseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An imaginative tale which involves a hungry snake and a whole lot of tasty meals.
Note: Meals may or may not include animals, monsters, people and small planets. - randompeepsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5For once, there is a non-human MC who doesn't turn into a human and live among them. He actually stays a monster and acts like one by eating humans and monsters alike.
Several people complained about this, however. Obviously, as he was previously a human, he should at least show some compassion for the humans and not become completely heartless, right? But the God from before clearly stated that he will lose much of his memories, besides knowing about his wife and his goal of finding her. This happened in order for the mind to adapt to his serpent body. The being never mentioned that he would still remember being a human.
Anyway, the only complaint I'd have to say is that the characters need more depth. So far, it doesn't seem like they have a personality, really, and it just seems sorta forced. But overall, it's pretty great!
I don't get why the other reviews are being so harsh by saying it's shitty. I never seen such critsicim. Just ignore those, alright, and check it out first! Then you'll know the answer yourself.
Have a nice read! - TheLoneOneRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Finished this story and im awaiting book 2!, I enjoyed it emensly and now i need to sleep, good job and keep up the good work (btw didnt see any grammar errors, not that i looked but everything seemed fine to me)
- fanobodyRoyal Road★★★ 3.0It was good at the start but the artificialy prolonging the story with multiverse and god after he reunite him with his beloved is to mutch and unnecessary
- black LeviathanRoyal Road★★★ 2.5The story isn't pleasant to read. It just is some monologue, near zero descriptions of the environment and things happening one after another.
The Mc barely has to adjust to his new body or environment. He acts like it is your common wednesday afternoon. He has nearly zero emotions, no fear, happiness and his feeling of pain is like a zombie. He just says "This is bad. It hurts. I flee." and stuff.
I'm reminded of standard japanese web novels I used to read when I started with reading novels and had no standards for them, largely because I didn't understand many words yet. I don't know what this says about me, the novel or anything, it is just how I feel.
