A Sith? During The Fall

Description

Darth Zaros was the Empire’s Wrath; the greatest Sith Warrior and a man feared across the galaxy.  He was also just my Old Republic game character until I somehow woke up as him.  If that wasn’t bad enough, I was sent thousands of years into the future to the eve of the Great Jedi Purge.

Alone and surrounded by enemies, can Zaros survive long enough to figure out how he got there? Can he ever find his way back?  Follow along as Zaros uses his powers and more importantly, the knowledge of a fan, to navigate his way through a dangerous Universe.

I'm working with a mixture of canon and legends stuff.  If it hasn't been written over in canon then it will probably be free game.  Because I’m reconciling various different sources, power levels won’t be blown out of proportion to the point that force users become the only relevant people in the Galaxy.

I added the gore tag just in case.  This is Star Wars, so there won’t be any needless blood spatters, but lightsaber duels often end with some body part cut off.

Ok, so I cam across this on accident on the updated list. Wasn't sure what to expect as some fan fictions for starwars are good some are not. But I give em all a chance being a big fan of kotor and swotor though not much swotor in the past year or two. I found i loved it. Bringing more ancient sith views and lore in. I qm sure some people complain about how he could be more evil. But most sith lords were not pure evil all the time unless they went insane or just reveled in the cruility. I live the hints of darkness and rage that he tappers himself. I love the lore qnd how despite knowing the future since he was such a fan. Well..he wasn't able to make huge changes. Also screw rakghouls..I hate how they follow you around somehow in both games. Totes happy to crush the sitg who made them
Keep up the great work can't wait for more updates

I dont usually read fanfics if at all, but i thoroughly enjoyed reading all the current chapters here. I am a bit sad that i did not wait a bit longer so i had more to read.
The lore seems to be well researched and respected. It is quite enjoyable to discover things here i didnt know about before.
The MC is a powerful sith, but he is not the most powerful force user in the galaxy. His greatest strenght is the knowledge he has about the lore, that he uses to gain a foothold in the galaxy.
The pacing and writing quality is great.
A very fun read, well worth it.

"A Sith? During the Fall" is very well written and enjoyable. The main character is interesting and so is the crew he is gathering. The story is well written and is engaging. If you like Star Wars stories in the style of the pre-disney Star Wars then I recomend it.

Keep up the fantastic work! I can't wait to see where you take your story next!
I loved the runescape reference, and the other odds and ends that you threw into the story as well!
I have also enjoyed watching your characters grow and interact with the world around them!

First of the all, the writing is solid and the characters have inner lives revealed through dialogue--something that a lot of rougher stories here don't have.
What makes this story stand out is the author's obvious love and deep knowledge of the Star Wars universe.  He designed a character who is powerful enough to play with the big names in the universe but who isn't so powerful as to make the story boring.
I found myself having to look up lots of characters and items and really enjoyed finding them and having them build a better picture of the story in my mind.  The author clearly wants to have a good time in this universe, filling it with action and lots of Light Side/Dark Side philosophizing while adding his spin to things.  I'll admit that I enjoy this story a bit more than several of the past movies (I'm looking at you Clone Wars!).  Having someone write an isekai character running rampant through this period of the Star Wars history is a real treat.  Half the fun is trying to figure out what mysteries/items the protagonist is trying to acquire that are from games/comic storylines I was completely unaware of.  I can't wait to find out where the author is going to take things and whose ass he will kick next.

The story feels chaotic sometimes, but only a little.
I absolutely love that author gets right to interesting parts, he doesn't beat around the bush. There is no filler, everything that happens is important for story. Honestly this is much better than many other stories on RR XD Deserves more attention.

For someone that always loved the star wars universe but never delved too deeply into it, this is a great way to find new curious tidbits of lore. The story has me hooked since the first chapter with its fullness and quality of writing. As stated in the title the only regret is having so few chapters to read ^^

I rate stories off of how I enjoy them, not just how mechanically good the author is, and this story is an absolute blast. If you're a Star Wars fan, even a casual one, this can be a little hard to get into but is an extremely fun time.
(Spoilers up to Ch 7 in this review)
Style: 4/5 I have some issues with this. Sometimes, the tense switches between past and present, and the dream sequence in particular was really hard to follow. It's not bad, and in fact for the most part it's solid and polished--it's just that in certain cases, the prose is a tad clunky.
Story: 5/5 The story so far has been a joy to follow. A guy tries to fixfic Star Wars at the time of Order 66 but sadly can't do enough to stop it. Given the knowledge of the Star Wars series and a decently strong custom character, he's going to do what he can to take down the newfound Empire. It's been a pretty gripping ride so far, and I'm excited to see where it goes.
Grammar: 4.5/5 Some noticeable errors from place to place, but nothing too bad and for the most part it's just little mistakes like anyone would make.
Character: 4.5/5 I don't think the characters have been explored that much, yet, but the main character is executed pretty well, pulling off that "is a Sith but not quite since he's an isekaied guy" characterization, and the other characters benefit from a rich world to draw from in the form of Star Wars lore.

    An interesting novel
The style is very good. I am satisfied with the story
The grammar has little to no errors.
The story is unique. I am waiting for fleet battles. I wonder how will a star destroyer v.s the mc will occur in the story.
The characters of the story are very fluid.
The author did a good job of preventing a monotonous character and story arc from occurring.
I really hope that there will be more chapters in the near future and this story shall never be on hiatus.
I wonder what will happen now that the mc can intervene in the star wars story, will he become the new emperor in the future? will he start a new sith academy? It will be very awesome if the mc started his own secret empire. I am also waiting for the mc to use his earthly knowledge on concepts of advanced technology from other games that will bolster his android forces and new ship designs.
Overall this is a must-read novel.
    Pro
the storyline is dynamic and the characters are holistic in nature.
the mc is unique and pragmatic
the background of the story is well done and world-building is nicely done.
    cons
    needs more chapters please XD

Super addicting read, as soon as i started i couldn't stop. Its obvious that your star wars lore knowledge is top tier and it really shows, for this kind of novel i feel like its all about gratification of being able to do things that real characters would not be able to reasonably do and its a big payoff when your MC is throwing everyone off there game. Highly recommend for any star wars/reincarnation fans.
