Well written and an interesting take on Tanya the Evil. It’s also different that the story mostly concentrates on the Pokemon and not the humans, so far. It’s a refreshing divergence from most of the other Pokemon stories.  I like where the story appears to be going, and the dichotomy of a fighting Chancey should make for an interesting story.

Usually I don't write reviews, but I love this piece of work. Unfortunately, the other reviewers took all the Happiny-line puns.
Nevertheless, there's something different about youjo senki fanfic writers that drive them to create such great works of literature. This is a crossover I thought would never work, but the author somehow managed it.
All the characters of the nursery are horribly adorable. You would think that with Tanya's cynicism she wouldn't make a good fit around baby pokemon, especially the most joyous of kind. But the positivity of her batchmates matched with her typical logical self only serves to further endear the reader into her development and interactions with the other pokemon.
I love the story so far, and I can't complain much about the grammar and style. It's both a blessing and shame to find it in its early stages. Looking forward to more!

I do genuinely think this is a really nice crossover.
The author has a very good grasp on Tanya's character and it does contrast the usual Chansey's character in an entertaining way.
The fights we saw up to now did show a good amount of intelligence mixed with reasonable communication with her trainer. That's great style.
Pokemon and trainer show good communication and understanding of each other.

This story follows a young baby Pokémon and focuses on what it means for someone who has never been loved before to finally find people who care about her for who she really is. At its heart, it’s about learning to accept love, to process feelings, and to grow emotionally in ways that feel both believable and moving. It’s rare to find a fanfiction that balances the lighthearted charm of Pokémon with such a genuine sense of emotional weight, but this one manages it.
What stands out most is the way the story feels carefully put together. Instead of being random or rushed, the progression is steady, almost as if it had been storyboarded in advance. Scenes flow naturally into each other, and each moment seems to serve a purpose in developing the characters and themes. The author clearly put thought into not just what happens, but why it matters.
Compared to many similar stories, this one offers a more developed and satisfying narrative. The emotional development of the main character feels real, and that makes her journey more impactful. If you enjoy stories that are more than just surface-level battles or quick jokes, and instead give you something heartfelt to follow, this is definitely worth reading.

I didn't think that The Saga of Tanya the Evil would fit in Pokémon's cloyingly-sweet mold, but here we are, and I am loving it.
Having Ms. Degurechaff lampshade how ridiculously saccharine the pokemon world, all while aiming to game it to its limit is somehow refreshing. Having trigonometry, finance, opsec, and other disciplines lovingly layered into the story is welcome and also never jarring. They do what they need to and don't overstay their welcome.
I have to admit, imagining a Happiny (or multiple) doing most of these things is adorable to the point of hilarity, but I find myself compelled to find out where this story will go, and it's not lost on me that becoming a non-human is slowly reintroducing humanity to Tanya in the aftermath of her struggle with Being X.
The best thing is that Tanya is my ideal of an anti-hero. She's a battle-hardened pragmatist who is vexed on some levels by the unnatural goodness of the world around her, but she's never a terrible person despite having had to do many terrible things and I appreciate that greatly. From what I have read, she hasn't been adversarial to anyone that didn't deserve it, and then only to the level required. I've seen this handled poorly in many other works, but im glad to see that its not an issue here.
The only bad thing I can say about this work is that I wish there were more chapters. Each one so far has been meaty, substantial, and satisfying, and I dreaded the ever-looming last available chapter as I plowed through the backlog. I'll happily be reading more of this as long as more continues to come out.
Also, yes, I waited to write a review for when I could think of a pun for the title. I even avoided making puns in my review to save some for everyone else.

A good story with wonderful characterization and comedy. The book is a interesting blend between the cartoon and realism without sacrificing the defining traits of the show.
the book is still in its early stages but it balances the doctoring and battling well so far with detailed fights and explanations of physiology along with the chronic conditions that come with old age in Pokemon

Personally never watched the The Saga Of Tanya the evil, yet I quite enjoyed this book so far. I really like how the story is going so far, its pretty interesting to see all these new characters and how Tanya treats them. It has a really intruiging style that draws you in and make you forget how many chapters you read until its 2am. Grammar is good, 5/5 would get sleep deprived again

From the contrast between Tanya's Tanya-ness and her existence as a chancey to the effect she has on the personalities of her si- batchmates, everything comes together to create the beginnings of a compelling story.
The other major characters are also interesting and the ways concepts like rivalry and trainer bond are depicted work well to flavor interactions between them. This particular interpretation of the pokemon world might just be one of my favorites, feeling grounded without losing any of the magic.
Definitely give it a read if you like youjo senki, pokemon or just want a fun reincarnation story, though some things might be hard to grasp from context if you don't know anything about the original stories.

So I started reading last night and ended up going into work this morning with 2 hours sleep.
I'd put this in the 'to be read' pile as while I love trying a new, highly rated Pokémon fanfic, I'm not generally a fan of reborn into a Pokémon body stories.
Somehow this story makes it work and in an utterly engrossing and captivating way.
I thought that the Tanya addition was unnecessary originally but somehow just having a socially awkward Chansey just wouldn't work the same magic after reading.
Somehow the author has found one of the most out there combinations and somehow made something (in my opinion) better than the sum of its parts.
Thank you and looking forward to reading more.

From the first chapter i was hooked, tanya seems very tanya while acknowledging their time as a japanese man, i have read a couple saga of tanya the evil fics but maybe it was just my luck that the characterisation was poor but even through development we still see a good amount of that crazy war torn bastard peak through the blinds i love it.
the worldbuilding is very solid, taking time to set up the very broken world of pokemon, and the chansey line is totally underrated in the ff comunity, im always down to read a isekai into poke fic and bonus pointa for this cutie.
Sir mage has written lots of terribly adorable characters while giving them realistic personality differentiation, no two named or side characters are so close that you confuse them or get bored of their interactions with tanya and with chap lenghts longer than the norm the flow between scenes lets me just enjoy the moments for longer before the inevitable and terrifying transparent next button. Though mage seems to be a writing demon releasing chapter so quickly, please dont burn out!
cant wait for the journey to get on its way!
    Ha za!
