***A couple disclaimers***
Thus story features progressive RPG elements. This is my first story, and I'm wanting to start slow on the status screens and game rules. I just wanted to put this here to let everyone know what they were getting.

- GodOfAllornsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The author is a very likable erson who is active in discord and really know hoew to touch the feels of the audience. When I read this I really feel like I can relate to what Utah is feelin' at the moment. Good job Updateanan... Plus there's pretty nice Grammer.
----Its Allornic - NamelesswandererRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So, when I first saw this today I was like let's give it a shot and see what we get and I have not been disappointed so far aside from some minor spelling/grammer issue (But hey we are on the internet who are we to judge :D). The main protag I feel I can relate to on a emotional level and how he handles his shit. I'm Chapter 18 at this time if a change in rating is needed I'll do it but this is already pretty good and am just happy to see something on pirates as well.
- SugarBums96Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0An enjoyable read, grammar and story is better then a majority of rrl novels. Keep up the great work Mr.Author!!
- katavsarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Mmmm, I like Utah. He’s complicated while at the same time not. There’s some subtle humor mixed in with the brutality of life. And Utah’s life is hard in both worlds! I’m looking forward to seeing how the story and the writer develops!
- sumerskyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is the only real pirate book on royal road and I am here for it! The character development happens really quickly, but keeps you on the edge of your seat. The lit rpg elements are cool and easy to follow. Grammar mistakes aren’t common, but with a new author mistakes are expected, sometimes I get a little lost in the sauce. But after another quick read through a part I’m back and ready for more! So these are definitely readable mistakes. Overall I can’t wait for more from this book and this author.

Daily updates hahahahahahaha and dont drop this
Its GREAT but i fell that the pace is too slow or maybe its because there are too few chapters right now - SandsforeverRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Chapter 35 edit: I'm really glad I gave this a chance
Ok so I got sucked into this story I dont remember few (if any) errors I'm excited for how this goes
The only thing that really pulled me from the story was the chapter repeating for some reason (dont know if it was my browser's fault)
I want this to be good - YoloRRLreaderRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A few small grammar issues in the first few chapters, but the story idea is awesome, execution is fantastic and I look forward to seeing more of this story.
- KarolusRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This comes close to being a five star for me. Overall it is excellent, but I do have a few nitpicks, the biggest relates to the MC's real life situation. I think the unfortunately crippled protaganist is a bit overused, but piling a crippling accident on top of a dishonorable discharge seems a bit much. My other minor gripe is the MC seeing a flippant doc. It is fairly straight forward to get a GP that you like and works well with you, from there the MC would be recomended a pain specialist who could help with his cronic pain (most of which would be paid by insurance if he was injured in a crash).
Other than those two things, relating to the real world bit (a much more secondary story to get our MC into the game world consistently), the story is excellent. Progression is fantastic. The MC is great, and the side characters are pretty good too (especially the captian). The paceing is good, and other than minor grammer and spelling errors, the story is well written.
Read if you are looking for a LitRPG with a different take on the MMO genre. - John MacDonaldRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I enjoy the story premise and MC background story. The problems I see are game geography and time frame. From the game description it is a historical VRMMO. If that is true the time frame is around 1714. If the MC knows about the Spanish Treasure Fleet so would others. Why would a company make a VRMMO with such limited time frame and map space? The settings needs a lot of work. Maybe the author values storyline over setting. The setting is the canvas the story is painted on, especially in a LITRPG.
