Andrew William. A perfectly average boring name for a perfectly average and boring boy. He wasn't particularly smart nor gifted. Not in academics nor in sports. He wasn't even as good as the other losers and "nerds" in his school. He could not remember the expansive lore of Star Wars, he could not recite the dialogue of Startek nor pull off any cool one-liners and quotes, and he couldn't beat the final level in most games without resorting to cheating or mods.

All he had was half-assed knowledge of pop culture and comics, but the one thing hewasgood at, his one and only pride and calling in life? Making Youtube videos.

No, it wasn't sad!

He was actually quite popular, honest!

He made videos of adventure and nature, although it was mostly of the creepy variety. Abandoned hospitals, old mines, long tunnels, and undiscovered caverns.

And as ironic as it was predictable, it would, of course, turn out to be the reason that he died. Well, at least he could take comfort in dying doing what he loved, not many people these days could say the same, you know?

The concept comforted him at least, but it turns out death is not always as permanent as people liked to think, because Andrew somehow found himself in New York City of all places after falling to his certain death in the Devil's hole, Death Valley Nevada., only thing was it certainly wasn't the New York that he knew of.

The Fantastic Four? Stark Industry? Captain America's biography? Oh boy, and did he mention he's no longer human? His Asian friends had introduced him to the wonders of Isekai novels and mangas, but isn't the order a little messed up? Where's his meeting with the sexy and nice Goddess? Where was his intro or tutorial?? Explanation plz I'm a noob at cross-dimensional travel! Help? Setting? Menu? Status?

May I please get to pick my own cheat power? No? I'm stuck as a virus? Well, At least the Prototype Virus was pretty darn cool and OP. Just not as op as being able to casually break the sound barrier in my sneakers or bench pressing the earth, but I'll just have to make do. Please don't be some fucked up Marvel continuity where Nazis and Hydra won or some shit.

Very well written, but it has the same problem overlord has where the author abandons the main character to help flesh out the world and the setting. The most recent chapter seems to be getting back to the main character and I’m loving it. I think the author can balance world development and character development better, but it’s such a fascinating world to explore with all of the different factions and people.

The story is good, but it falls into the category with so many other fanfics were the MC almost just lives along with the original story. Instead of seeing a chance to overwrite/rewrite his new reality to his own desires. And almost never understands no matter what is done there will be casualties. His options are to decide who the casualties are not if there will or will not be casualties.
The character development is good so far and if it keeps up I expect it to only get better.
The grammar has been good for a web novel as well.

This review is about the story up to the current chapter 20.
I like it! It's definitely not your typical "I found myself in the MCU so I'm going to be a superhero" story.
Our main character starts off his origin story a number of years before the Battle for New York. He encounters a few heroes before they make a name for themselves, and becomes close to them. Along the way, he tries hard to improve himself for some of the things he knows is coming.
One day, his story goes in an unexpected direction, and it touches the lives of everyone he has gotten to know so far. This helps to remind us that the Marvel Universe is not a safe place, and it can come with a lot of pain and suffering along the way.
Still, the story is very well written, and the characters are entirely believable. I feel like I'm reading an actual comic about the people in the MCU.
The author has indicated in the author's notes or in chapter comments that they have many ideas they'd like to explore. That tells me this story will have legs and will continue for a long time. In addition, the chapter release rate is fantastic.
I definitely want to read more and see how this all develops. =)

This story is far is a barrel of laughter. It has some plausibly entered mechanics. There are a few spelling errors and mistakes but nothing that additional proofreading won't fix.

Love the story, how it had decided & how it had improved compared to V1.0 of the story...
And as always it's really sad watching a story go on hiatus.
The characters are likeable, the plot is believable and the progress is decent.
Hope the author picks up from where they dropped it...

Was so dam close to rating 0.5 just because of the length of the author notes sometimes and there are some typos and just flat out incorrect words in certain places but over all its bearable and the story is a welcome change from MC going 0 to 100 in 0.3 seconds

I love the Prototype games, so i really like your idea but i dont like your fic the powercurve is way to steep and the hole kidnaping and mindwipe thing (i read up to chap 15) is stupid, hes an amalgamation of billions of viruses he has no "funktioning brain" he has experience with tranquilizers see Logan chap, so how do you knock him out?
and secondly hes an amalgamation of viruses see dangerroom/cyclops chaps he will only die when ALL his mass is destroyed (witch it wont ever be because of mr bunnicula... u probably cant even really knock him out as long as rabit exists...) and Pain? really? just how often did he "ignore" his painreceptors? why does he keep his body in captivity and doesnt clone himself from the bunny? etc.
or just accepts beeing tortured? maybe he cant escape ok i get it, but he doesnt even try? wtf? hes a fucking shapeshifter why the hell stay a puny human if he could be a spicky ball with inch thick boneplates on the outside and idk spickes? get your virus airborne and test the ventilation, take the torture as training and try to get your biomass back while its taken etc.
i mean rly just stay human and lets get tortured? WHY????
and btw i FUCKING HATE brainwashing the mc...

I tried to give this a shot. Just to much that keep getting worse and worse. Was a great idea for a story just shot all to hell with poor and inconsistent junk. I mean really so many off the wall wth and wtf is going on here chapters. This story had more then 5 chapters I wanted to "I'm done and here's a -5 stars".
