Description
As a child, Clyde saw medieval reenactments in a park fighting in full plate armor. Infatuated, he studied historical martial arts, became a battle junkie, and even won a sponsorship to Europe by dominating tournaments. Clyde’s best friend introduced him to a live action role play group, and after becoming mechanically skilled in the system and mastering every class and ability, he was pulled into another world- which just so happens to operate with the same rules for its magic and classes as the LARP! Unfortunately for Clyde, though, he was dealt a terrible hand and wasn't summoned as a hero, knight, or nobility… but as a slave.

- ZenobiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Came across this for the second time and binged it. Well worth the afternoon.
If they continue or start another story will read.
A more realistic approach to the price and pain of medieval battle. Even with a fireball or two.
A pity that it ended when it did. Would encourage the author to pick it back up. - ChaddtsRoyal Road★★ 1.5I only read the first 2 chapters and functionally its fine. Grammer , word choice ,etc. My issue is the sense of disbelief. How the kidnapped victims behaved etc. It doesn't feel human. The reactions are very poorly done and you can tell that the reactions of the kidnapped victims are scripted for the story to play out as the author desires. the problem that in this story is the reactions are not correct in any fashion aside from the comment at the end of chap 2. The entire fight scene read like something out of grade school. No eye gouging. No ball busting, no palms strokes to break a nose and go for the insta skill. All the "tackles " lead nowhere. The fight was simply horrid. The author shows a glaring lack of emotion and basic worldy knowledge if this is how he expects a man to fight for his wife. If this is how he expects a Group of kidnapped victims to behave. I cannot recommend this book until some maturity has been added. And some realism added to the kidnapped victims. Right now the book reads like a soap opera where a little smack sends someone into a coma.
