- A. StargazerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love what’s posted so far. Looking forward to more. The writing is great, and it hints at a well thought out plot. It’s too early to say much more than that, since there’s only four chapters. I was honestly disappointed when I went to click next chapter and it wasn’t there.
good job author and keep writing! - ThrillianRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A Gift of the Stars follows Maggie, a college student struggling to pass her history class, who is soon swept up into a world of alien artifacts, interstellar travel, space otters, and, of course, Shakespeare references.
The story moves at a brisk pace, introducing us to Maggie and her circle of friends before her possession of a mysterious crystal not-so-paperweight plunges into a plot of intergalactic intrigue - and intergalactic proportions.
There's a lot to love with this particular story. I like that the writer sprinkles in little vignettes beyond the regular updates. I also like the art included at the bottom of each update.
In particular, I really enjoy the flavor-text at the top of each chapter, which really adds to the overall scope of the world-building.
The style and pacing are really well done, with twist and turns as well as enjoyable and engrossing characters. The whole thing has a very cozy feel not seen in most adventures.
On the other hand, I did notice a few typos, most with missing possessive apostrophes.
Overall, though, it's a really fun read that I definitely want to see more of.
