Description

On a dark night, in the City of Hapsburg. A Warlock is doing a spell.

His intent, To summon a demon to be his familiar and grant him all the powers of the Dark Realms. For Power, Status, And Dominion.

But that's not what happens.

Instead, the Demon rips his soul free during the Ritual and banishes him to the body of the familiar he'd tried to place the Demon in. Before Running off with the body and vowing to turn the Warlock's life into a living hell.

What ensues is a game of Cat and Mouse, with the fates of thousands on the line.

And they're not the only ones Playing either.

Buckle in and witness the duel of the century, Monsters, Magic and More await you like these two rivals battle in a winner take all brawl across the city.

Good start, I'm curious to know about the following. Real slice of life with the demon and the cat who build a life in the city, or something a little more serious with a plot that gains in importance. The author should be careful not to get lost between the two.
- Style & Grammar
This is well written, no grammar, syntax nor style issues. It's actually quite poetic at the beginning! The action sequences could be reworked to be more fluid. The POV should not change in the middle of a chapter without signaling it, the reader must be clear whether he is following the cat or the warlock/demon. The layout is good which makes the text pleasant to read. However, English is not my native language, so I may have missed some things...
- Story
The story is quite light, slice of life, short chapters, but instead of having the usual feel good genre we follow a warlock and his new pet. It's original, dark and it works just as well. Especially after the twist in chapter 5.
- Character
Who doesn't like cats? Who doesn't like mysterious dark wizards? Of course the interaction between the two is delightful and makes you want to binge read the fiction. I think it would have been interesting to alternate the POV every other chapter. Motivation of each character need to be more developped.

I've really enjoyed the start of this and am pretty intruiged to see where it goes. Loving the dark setting as well - the author's done well do bring it to life but without going into full grimdark (fine if that's what you're into but just not my cup of tea).
Ngl I'm a sucker for a good pun in the title.
