A Dying Peace

On the orbital Chalice, life is at once a hedonistic dream and a dystopian nightmare. A benevolent artificial intelligence governs the habitat with a light touch, allowing all but the worst crimes to go unpunished. For those who do deserve punishment, a plethora of expendable hired-guns will do the dirty work. Maxwell Forrest is one such organ of the A.I.'s justice, and he executes his duty clad in the garb of a gunslinger with a melancholic disregard for his own future and burdened by his tragic past.

Arker, abandoned by his father and tasked with chaperoning his latest creation -  a seemingly useless robot companion - is swept up in a conflict he cannot comprehend. When the Jar'ron Navy takes a keen interest in his plight, Arker will be propelled into a violent struggle between the downtrodden inhabitants of a failed colony, militaristic aliens and a figure from humanity's distant past.

In this science fiction epic, cyberpunk and military sci-fi elements blend into a story about violent people meeting violent ends as powerful forces collide in the struggle to control a dysfunctional orbital. An ensemble cast of characters will explore every facet of the setting and will inevitably be drawn into the same destructive maelstrom to meet their fate.
