I really like this author’s consistency in his various works and to see it pointed in this direction, a favorite genre of mine, has been a treat. I have reached out to the author personally for several questions, all promptly answered, and that makes me even more likely to pick up every new opus he has. One of the comments people who get hooked by his work will tell you is that he sets things up for payouts at unexpected moments. A lot of things get immediacy, but the bread crumbs that pay out later work in his favor in a book about looping. Something I enjoyed even more about this book compared to the other books he writes is the length of the chapters. I have told him numerous times that longer chapters could only be a net positive to his writing style, to which I feel vindicated as the story feels more full.
Mild story spoilers and discussion ahead:
Penelope is a fun character. I know several people like her, peculiar, nerdy, neurospicy. Seeing her react to a situation like this, her highs and lows, has felt very organic to her character as written and I have enjoyed it quite a bit. It feels a bit like the subtle horror that Matt Dinniman talks about of how people react to fraught and tense situations they find themselves and the realistic takes on some of the traumas one would get from going from one laid back existence to one filled with not only death surrounding them, but they themselves experiencing dying themselves.
Jeru is a fun standout character, a guide of sorts, parasite in other ways, but seeing him work with her was a lot of fun and a nice way to get her enured to the greater galaxy she just became a part of. He also is a fun method of helping readers get into some of the ways that neurospicy people are different from neurotypical folk, which is done very well.

Wow, just wow. Love this author's other works, but this one did weird things to me. I'll start by saying this type of story isn't my usual, so I had to adjust. It was an easy read for a novice in this genre though.
But the thing that made things weird for me was that the character was SO relatable. I found myself getting overwhelmed and frustrated along with her as she was plopped down for the second time. And don't get me started on someone down playing your questions... Jeru's snark as he "explains" irritated me for her. AND THEN to be given all these options for her element.... Freakout inducing for sure.  Anxious to see how the character continues to adapt, and yet still remain true to herself.
I enjoyed the depiction of the fighting scenes. They had enough descriptors so you understood the situation, but there wasn't too many descriptions where you get overwhelmed or start skipping phrases because you're bored. Camadt does such a good job of setting the scene where anyone, even someone who doesn't usually select a specific genre, could read his books. All of his books do a good job of this.
Well done my guy, the story is easy to read, easy to relate to, and the grammar is just fine for fluid reading.
    Kudos Camadt. Keep em coming.

I really enjoyed book 1. I found the combination of various story elements you put together worked very well. The MC is interesting and relatable. The fact that she is neurodivergent makes her more interesting rather than less. The overall plot is engaging and I am looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds. Thank you for sharing your time and creativity. Do be sure to take care of your health as nothing is more important.

The story is well-written and engaging, with an interesting and fleshed-out MC whose decisions don't make me want to tear out my hair in frustration. She has her faults and flaws, but that only makes it more interesting to follow along. It's been a while since I found a time-loop story that reallyhits, and 42 Looper does exactly that. Also, Jeru. 10/10

42 Looper is hands down one of the coolest books I have ever read. Penelope, the main character is stuck in a time loop. Her abilities get wiped with every death, but her brain keeps all the knowledge, so she gets smarter and stronger in the long run. It’s kinda satisfying seeing her figure things out bit by bit, even if it means eating dirt a lot. She works perfectly as a Protgonist. After that there is my favorite character Jeru, he is insane. Comedic, weird, hilarious and what not. But he also has these surprising moments of depth that make you love him even moreBeyond the characters, the world is also nice and easy to get into.Story is currently building up, but I liked what I read until now.Writing style is good enough, not my favorite personally, but I had no problem reading. Grammar was also good with a few mistakes here and there. So, in conclusion read this amazing Time Loop story, with a blend of LitRPG in it, which I don't know how, but it somehow actually works. It's biggest strength beyond the perfect blend of these genres is it's characters and the way they interact.

This would be the hardcore, grinding gamer's dream. Everything but your mentality resets on death. Sure there is the pain, but you learn faster with pain.
The characters are not flawless power houses. They have weaknesses. They have faults. They are much more relatable than many main characters in other literature roleplaying games. Much more enjoyable to follow along on their adventures.
The realistic aspects and reactions to situations help to see from the characters' perspectives. It makes it harder to say, "I would have done it differently." You end up thinking about what you or the characters might could do differently. How many chances would you take?
The characters are enjoyable and well developed. The banter and interactions between characters provide a good balance of humor and seriousness. Jeru is my favorite so far.
The fun in a time loop scenario is knowing that the main character may die or fail at any time. A simple trip or hesitation on the first floor could lead to death. Imagine making it to the very last boss fight on pure luck, only to be killed by friendly fire. Your once in a million runs ended over a cold.
    The possibilities are endless.

In a time loop where your abilities reset every death, a LitRPG shouldn't work, but somehow Camadt makes it happen. Our MC manages to learn each time and having to unlock abilities over and over can get a little tedious, but it is so satisfying to grow along with the character. There are other traits to be learned as well, and I am curious to see if her introverted traits will cause her issues in a setting where a "Proper" RPG party would be a boon. Jeru is FANTASTIC, I always love a snarky sarcastic system, but he has depth, and I can't wait to see how their dynamic changes over time.
Once again I am reminded that this is an interconnected universe with his other books, and I definitely get vibes of his other series here, but Looper is it's own unique series.
The setting is a refreshing blend of fantasy elements, while also feeling a bit sci-fi, and I can't wait to explore more of this world. I'm intrigued by the mention of other races, and I look forward to the day Jeru forces Penelope, cause lets be honest she isn't hunting for any crowds on her own without some gentle nudging, to explore the campus a bit and she gets to interact with the locals. That is another thing to like about this book. The characters are dynamic, they change and grow, beyond their stats. And seeing them change as people makes you appreciate the growth they are going through.
Overall if you like character progression, growing with a character and also inconvenient and seemingly random deaths, this is absolutely the book for you.

I haven't read a whole lot of it yet, but I am definitely looking forward to reading more. I've read some of his other stuff and I enjoy the style. Triftion is probably my favorite so far and The Ascended is a close second. I'm hoping this one tops them! I really lime how all his work is in the same universe so it all ties in in one way or another. I'm really looking forward to getting through this latest work. Now again, I'm not very far in, but the story is very gripping so far. I'm looking forward to diving into it and trying to make some connections with his previous work. I know they're there. The character also seems pretty relatable. Like, she wasn't just some average Joe dropped into a new world who then becomes over powered and dominates everything like you read in most litrpgs. At least I don't think she does, again I haven't gotten very far yet. The time loop is also a fun addition. The ability to retry over and over again would be a pretty helpful tool. I'm excited to see how that plays out. So far I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

I LOVE the way the story starts. The end of the first chapter hooked me right away. Kind of disappointed that Camadt still hasn’t talked about who that guy was, but just like Dory, I’m going to “just keep reading” and trust they’ll explain what that was all about. The story itself is a mixture of oil and water. Numbers are supposed to go up in a litrpg, not going down like in a timeloop does over and over and over, and whatever time it’s been reset now. But Camadt pulls it off. The numbers never seem to reset for long, with Penelope finding a way to get back to where she was before, sometimes in a little bit better of a situation. Speaking of Penelope, I LOVE stories about neurodivergent people that are well done like this. In most media, a neurodivergent person is either a savant or an invalid. As someone with family members on the spectrum, I can identify many of her tics and coping/comforting mechanisms. A great representation. The fight scenes are played out well; one of the things I don’t care for in most timeloop stories is how the same fight over and over again begins to feel repetitive. Each time Penelope fights a monster, it’s either in a new way, or there is a fast-forwarding through a fight we’ve already seen. I absolutely can’t wait for more of this exciting story, and I’m so glad that not only are the chapters longer, but there’s going to be more in each book than what is usually written.

This is a really fun ride once it kicks off.
The MC is engaging and plausible.  She is intelligent but not infallible and quickly learns from her mistakes (handy seeing as she's looping!)  Her interactions with other characters are realistic, although other than Jeru she hasn't spoken to many people yet.
Jeru is a highlight for me.  He's got the quirky humour and semi-unhelpful attitude you'd expect from a jaded and exhausted being who's been stuck in the loop for centuries.  I enjoyed getting the first hints about the deeper history behind the loop in his asides and thought it was nicely written.  There is a good bit of humour worked into the interactions between Pea and Jeru that I enjoyed a lot.
Grammar and style are both excellent.  I didn't see any mistakes that stuck out enough to make note of.  Pea is introduced well and as the story flows from her perspective her personality takes centre stage and it held my attention nicely.
The plot is solid.  The first few loops are fairly short and give us an idea of how Pea is going to handle the constant dying in the future.  The fractiousness between the MC and Jeru works well to provide snappy dialogue and emotional interactions.
My only critique is that the chapters are quite short, i guess?  But that's more personal taste than anything as they are concise and cover what needs to be told in each scene.
All in all:  it's well worth a read if you're looking for something fun with good characters and an engaging story.
