Ren Armstrong was born a commoner, never knowing the faces or names of his parents. Orphaned from birth, he was taken in by a humble church, where he spent his childhood under the care of priests and nuns. Life within the church walls was strict but stable, offering him shelter, food, and a place to belong until it no longer did.

At sixteen, he was cast out, left to fend for himself with nothing but the clothes on his back and the lingering questions of why he had been abandoned. With no family, no home, and no clear path forward, he wandered the kingdom in search of purpose. That purpose came in the form of Ravenwood, an esteemed order of knights sworn to serve and protect the realm.

Determined to carve out a place for himself, Ren joined their ranks, stepping into a world where strength and status dictated one’s worth. Now, three months into his training, he finds himself at the bottom, struggling to prove that he belongs among warriors far more powerful and privileged than he could ever imagine.
