It’s a good story, a cosy slice of life story, that seems to be meandering along allowing the reader to discover the plot and the characters as they are introduced.
It’s a little confusing with what is clearly a western character chucked into an eastern style environment, but somehow it all seems to work.
I like the fact that there are many races in the town and they all seem to get along together.
One thing I might mention is how ordinary the MC is. No magic, no great destiny, no perks, spells, or anything that makes him rise above the others in the story. Simply a hard working normal guy with very little past, family, or work experience evidently.
I’m hoping that he has extraordinary skills that he just hasn’t shown yet. Something that brings the fantasy element into the story. Something that explains just what he was doing for the first part of his life and how he made what money he did posses at the start of the story. - EggstravertRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Enjoyable read!
