Mesmerised by the sight, Karlach watched in rapt attention, noting how the humble pommel of the flashing blade doubled as a bludgeoning tool in the hands of the woman whose loose black hair shimmered and gleamed in the strengthening rays of the rising sun. As if to warn her against becoming complacent, the woman began incorporating a series of leaps and tumbles into her routine, slicing at the air with an intent to maim or quarter enemies unseen.

When a tumble took the woman close to where Karlach stood, the tiefling made to move a pace back only to find the bastard sword coming right for her exposed throat.
