Description
What would you do if you had a billion XP?
On a certain day, the once-popular MMORPG, Skillbound Odyssey, was opening its servers for the final time. Okuma Sho, a NEET, has been a major player since the game's release. On this particular day, he finds himself raging at the incompetence of his teammates and throws his chair out the window while screaming profanity in the team's chat. After his tantrum, his mother bursts through the door and physically kicks him out of the house. Bewildered, Sho has no choice but to leave the house for the first time in ages. While running away from the house, he collapses onto the ground and begins plotting his revenge; however, as he does, a plane crash lands on top of him, instantly killing him.
When Sho regained consciousness, he found himself in a strange bedroom with no memories except of a meeting with a God-like entity. After a week of getting to know his new self, he learns about his family's special skill,XP Transfer, and the long tradition of repeatedly sending XP to future generations without spending a single point; however, his parents had a different idea. Suddenly a billion XP is transferred to Sho and he is given a mission. Instead of following tradition, they want Sho to use the XP to power himself up and undercover the tradition's origins.
What will Sho do with his billion XP and more importantly, what is the meaning of his family's tradition?

- kingcoalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I actually like this book alot and can't wait for more of it to come out. That saying please make it obvious if you are going to rewrite from the start again with like a big old rewrite right at the top. Some more description of the people would be nice to like how they look.all said and done very good book idea some minor issues that could be sorted out with some editing and expansion on some thing but overall I'm looking forward to more.
- Dougulas KaienRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story has a nice premise, but the tragedy is that the author can't stop infodumping. The result is that I constantly scroll down my smart phone screen and skip the excessive verbiage.
The second problem is that while having the MC play God mode provides a few interesting moments, the lack of a challenge to the MC would eventually make the story boring. It's like talking a test where you already got the answers in advance. Frankly, I don't know if the author is skilled enough to dig out of the hole he's writing into. - DnojRoyal Road★★ 1.5So this is your typical isekai reincarnation story. There's the barest hint of an interesting story here, but it's just heavily bogged down by poor grammar and simplistic prose.
The pacing is horrible, years randomly passing by within a paragraph.
There's also the issue character deaths.
It's handled poorly to say the least. The reactions are unreal. No one is believable. Everything is a shit show.
And it's only been 5 chapters!
I feel absolutely nothing for these characters, but the premise is interesting at least. There's a skill passed down their family, and it entails a bunch of issues with everyone involved.
That's it, that's the only redeeming quality of this story.
It's evident that the author is more interested in this part of the story than the characters, which is understandable, but there's a limit to how lazy you can be. There's a bare minimum of characterization to meet when you want a story rather than an outline.
Sadly, this story doesn't meet it. It's like the characters were made as an afterthought. Which is just sad. Characters are what we readers experience the world through, so even if the world you've built is the most interesting this site has ever seen, it's going to look like shit if the characters and pacing are shit. Which they are.
I hope this gets revised, heavily, because it really feels like a, not a diamond but maybe a quartz, in the rough.
