Description

*I was a on a hiatus but I am back! Chapters will start coming again!*

It should have been a simple trip to Europa, the ice moon of Jupiter. Go to Europa. Establish a research station. Maintain the robots to search for life under the ice. Instead, I think we have shot way off course. Nope, we definitely shot way off course. There is no way I should be able to breath on this planet. Actually, there shouldn't be trees here. And why am I naked?

Captain Lindsey Shin was selected to establish a research station on a ice moon. He instead finds himself on a planet with no idea where Earth is and now needs to find his brother and sister-in-law on a planet where magic runs wild and humans do not exist. A world of beastmen, elves, daimons and daemons. Oh and the main character is slightly insane? The narrative is mostly first-person. A lot of vulgar language and cussing is to be expected.

    [Chapter 17]
Admittedly, my sense of humor skews towards the sadistic sometimes, but I couldn't stop laughing--or at the very least, grinning and snickering to myself--while I read this.
The author puts the main character through all sorts of grief, but the situations combined with the narration make it funny to the reader. Even when the serious bits begin, there's a bit of self-deprecating humor around the corner. And all in all, I find the main character incredibly relatable.
The writing style feels natural to me, as if it were written the same way it would be spoken. That's a huge plus, especially by the standards of RRL. The grammar isn't perfect, but it's pretty standard vernacular. The spelling is good, too.
I'm really looking forward to more chapters soon.

Accurate as of release of chapter 5. The story score is low as Supreme Leader Shnook (star wars reference, just in case) has not dedicated much time to actually progressing the story. Undoubtedly this will change later. I hope I remember to update this later.
Style: Nothing really stands out. The writing style is 1st-person, chosen well as it emphasizes the main character's thought patters. See the character section for more details.
In terms of genre, it's basically a Sci-Fi/Fantasy crossover that I'm sure you've seen before. Spectral Regalia is a good example of one, although this lacks the Reincarnation elements and so far keeps a bit of the sci-fi technology.
Story: There is not much to speak about here so far, only a little world building has happened as of yet. What has been introduced is a reasonably standard fantasy world, although without humans for once.
The thing I'm most interested in are the bad guys, I'm interested in seeing how they are handled.
Grammar: This is good in general, although if I look hard I can pick out one or two errors. None of the mistakes really interfere with the flow of the story though.
Character: Now THIS is where the story really shines. Take Pinky and the Brain, mix them together, remove the world domination, add unexpected hate for gingers (so all the other human main characters ) and then take away about half of the little common sense. This will give you have the main character. Just brace yourself and prepare to be mooned through the shattered pieces of the fourth wall, alongside all other time and space barriers.
Fortunately the other characters seem to be as tolerant of the MC as would be expected, and this interaction has been played off to a T. While every aspect of these characters certainly hasn't come out so far, if the story continues at this rate I can't see the character score of 5 dropping.
